  1. Why is that then? Who decides who becomes an RO whats the process? Surely it's not just a case of I dont want this roll as RO anymore so I'll just give it to the first person I meet kind of thing.

Seems a little underhanded to me.

and I make it four and a half years going by your join date lol :biggrinsanta:

  2. I moved some topics that should be read by the wider community, but set them so they left links within the Scottish Scoobies Section. Click on the link it takes you to the topic as though it was within Scottish Scoobies, but the topics have actually been moved to General so the wider community can also have input. It's totally transparent to everyone so there is absolutely no issue in me doing so. I'm REALLY concerned about SIDC becoming too Scottish orientated in light of recent events and this just helps spread things out a bit, makes the forums more active and encourages input from outside of the Scottish community.

Fair enough. But I cant see them in any other areas, the only one I can find is Memberships?

  3. Another thing which is Irking me is why have those three threads been moved out of Scottish Scoobies to some place they cant or wont be read or found by anybody North of the border?

I hope the Scottish Scoobies section of SIDC does not end up like Scoobynet 'used' to be before everybody took the hump and left to come here?

  4. Robert is in a no-win situation here. He kills the topic, folk will see it as censorship and continue to complain as they believe Karyn has a genuine grievance. He doesn't kill the topic and it will go on for ages, not really getting anywhere, but continuing to be a negative thing dragging the Club down in what should be a time of a fresh start. He can't win no matter what he does.

Like you said it would probably drag on for ages (probably like this one will ;) ) but people would still have had the option to at least voice their opinions, preventing 'members' from voicing their opinions unless the situation has deteriorated to such an extent that it needs to be closed which in this case it wasn't is a bit OTT if you ask me.

  5. Hi Andy please feel free to move this topic. This topic is opened to all hence the first post. I posted it here in Scottish Scoobies. My mistake.

    Chris

If its moved the majority of members up here will miss it as this is the only section they frequently look at.

  6. If you lot could see the topic I've just posted in the Committee Forum it raises EXACTLY that issue... ;)

BTW, why is this in "Scottish Scoobies"? This is a topic, as are many that get hidden away in here, that should be in the General Forum for the entire community to add to, not just those north of the border. With the situation of having a largely Scottish based committee now, it is more important than ever that the Scottish section diversifies into other areas of the forums and website or it WILL become the Scottish Impreza Drivers Club and that's not a good thing.

Well there lies problem number 1 then Andy, most of 'us' dont look in general anymore so probably likely to miss it if its posted there.

  7. Jeez, where is this North and South thing comming from it has 'never' been this way in the club before, even when everybody down South ran the club we still had our share of events up here, it's not as though things are going to change dramatically is it, Everybody on 'both' sides of the border will get to the same events as we have always done?

  8. Sorry but its funny when things kick off on the forum theres alway someone north of the border stiring......

Your point being?, That attitude seriously Irks me.

If it wasnt for us lot North of the border there wouldent even be enough members left in this club to keep it going, I've seen as much trouble South of the border than I have up here, I seem to remember a whole region leaving SIDC at one point a while back, so please don't give me that bulls**** Karyn.
