Enjoy smoking each others custard cannons and having neds race you at the lights
LoL Gummy! You haven't lost your way with words!
Whats the weight of that thing anyway I'm guessing about 1800kg minimum?
-
Just heard about this as well, met him a few times at trackdays and various events and took a liking to him instantly, he had one of those personalities that I could gel with straight away. when most of us were chasing 400BHP back in the day he was away after 500 which was not so easily done then as it is now.. sad sad day.
-
You know davey, I've never heard anyone ever mention Clark Motorsport online before... Kinda curious about that... Have you used them?
Quite a few of the Hillclimb/sprint cars up here use them, I've used them in the past as well, top notch service and they didn't 'try' to sell me anything by blowing smoke up my arse as well.

That glenshee day was the day i realised i wasnt well
That glenshee day was the day i realised you weren't well either.
Was one hell of a good run though, a pic of my car the day after!

Think V power could be a problem across there, AFAIK they haven't got anything like it.
-
I'm not intrested in breaking any land speed records so will be exempt from the willy waving club lol
Steve W built it for me last year, still on the little old 20G for now. Andy will be doing my mapping as always
Bigger turbo is on the cards but saving up some pennies for a half decent tow car just now. Saying that I'm going to need to get it back to Steves as it's a non runner just now with some kind of electrical fault

Can't say I heard any rumours about you Callum other than those about your sexuality. Those were concerning a smashed in rear end also.
If someone has a bone to pick then they should say it to your slabber covered face like in the old days.
What you driving these days (apart from all the old queers crazy)?
P.s. You're a homo.
God I love your patter Colin!

Good to see a mid powered car turning one over on the high power cars.
-
Another vote for Steve.W, just did me a 2.35 stroker for a very reasonable price.
-
wow at ^^^
and arch, not quitelol, just prepaired to try both lol
ill go with my builders recommendation for time being - run and assess
Me personally I would be taking Andy.F's advice over any builders.
-
A late classic sti (TY754) box will work and probably one of the cheapest options if you get a good one.
That's the direction I took with mine, I went for a MY99 V6 Sti Box from a P1.
-
Just keep it as a spare, or go down the Andy.F route with a flat six and hit the hills with it to give that "pesky Evo" a run for it's money.
-
Callum always enjoyed coming home to Alba and running what he brung....his turbo charged injector cosworth vtec supercharged NA V12 2.8 mpower nova
Wow, he's even stripped it out as well, Our Wilky's well "ard core"
-
Yes Dunk, Im home on holiday shortly, and intend driving that road over the next month or so, its always been an ambition of mine since John S did an article in True Grip on it about 2003-04.
Nice one, what you driving nowadays anyway?
-
Haa! If living and working with hill billies isn't enough you even search you tube for them!
You still in the USofA just now then?
-
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! I knew you were going to bloody crumble with the mods at some point, I even think I mentioned it when you bought it
-
Sequential box? your comming back with a bang after your time away Jools!
KAPS transmissions, I'm pretty sure thats the folks who bought Andy's old Type R?
-
That's expensive!
Yup it is, but if he needs one quick(ish) which I get the impression he does then he knows where to get one now, plus they are 2008 model boxes so should be low(ish) on miles.
-
Yup,
Default

Im talking about a short block built. New liners supplied and fitted, block machined and decked. And then engine built.
Basically the cost of crank, pistons, rods, rod bolts, 4 liners and the machine work to remove the original liners and fit the new ones, deck the block and hone the liners. Block already has a 14mm head stud conversion and conversion for rear thrust crank.
I still need 14mm head studs, baffled sump water pump, oil pump, timing belt kit, and work carried out to the AVCS heads which is all at least another £1k plus if I didn't already have most of the parts
I've got a set of RCM 14ml headstuds sitting here, used for a grand total of fifety miles of running in with zero boost.
-
Thanks for the replies guys, some good info there. Looks like Steve Whitson will be getting a phonecall.
Ciaran, i'll see what my options are and let you know about that block. I might just need to outdo you in the power stakes! Haha. Nah, i'll be happy at 400ish but we'll see.
Cheers, Kev
Another vote for Steve Whitson here he's doing a wee bit of work for me as well, but AFAIK he's on his holidays just now.
-
Looking bloody good Paul.
for a newage that is!
-
Welcome to the SW Motorsport fan club Graeme.
Will maybe bump into you at Steves sometime as Steve's building a "new un " for me as well.
