Nice one. Every 260 that has been dyno'd so far HAS made more than 260. We had one at the MLR dyno day last weekend that made just under 290bhp, which ties-in with results from at least four other RR's across the UK. A full de-cat and better filter and you should be in the 320 bracket, as they have better bost control and hold 1.2barg thru' the range. They can also take 1.4barg, without any other mods as the ecu max's out for fuel/ air ratio at 1.65barg Which should see you running 340-350bhp and around 320lbs-ft...roughly in that range. Enjoy

What did you end up getting??

Anyone want my Standard Springs from an 03 WRX wagon for FREE?
evojkp replied to stephen_fergus2's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I've still got my std ones off my old Sti8. Anyone want them -
Sounds like a plan is brewing

Would love that routing mate, but the ferry only goes between Rosyth and Zeebrugge, although a wee detour on the way home for a lads night out would be good

IIRC it was after a Blaeberry meet and some muppet threads from the usual drunken bums. Quickly followed by Dougster resigning his commission and stating the facts about SN. From there it quickly followed on that everyone was wanting answers, that the power crazy mods didn't think they had to justify, and hid behind 'The Policy' The main issue was the demi-gods seeing themselves as the be all and end all of SN...oh' and their Southern counter-parts joining in with the slagging and name calling.....AND PRIVATE PMs, which I have not forgotten about. We will meet soon my friend SIDC team came up with the idea of this and everyone moved house. Job done. I you were talkin about another revolution, then sorry for my rant as I was just reviewing some old e-mails/ PMs ...John

http://www.superfast.com/Scotland/English/index.asp Don't know about a trailer. Probably classed the same as caravan. Strictly speaking the old nurburgring is not classed as a track. It is a public one way road without a speed limit, which is policed by the German rozzers. If you cause a crash, it will be subject to a police investigation as if it were on the open road. So not sure if track insurance applies. I know some are sticky about the ring and the AA have a clause in their European breakdown, that if you are at/ near the Nordschleife then you are not covered by International Rescue (cue thunderbirds music)

Ferry costs will be in the region of £400 return for the car and two folk sharing a two berth cabin. I think there is a cheaper cabin and also the aircraft style seats, but at 17.5hrs out of Rosyth, I'd be looking at a few good beers on board and a bed to crash in. I dare say there will be deals for booking up in advance as well, although I have not called them yet. (You cannot book this ferry on-line )

<< Yeah - thanks for the warning. I will be driving like a granny from now on >> Eh' did I miss something...FROM NOW ON!!!

<< New car arrives very shortly, you should all be afraid, very afraid! (lol) Chris >> Chris is starting the new revolution...the Fabia WRC!!!
-
Chris, if your serious mate, I'll drop in and see you during the week for a blether.

<< taking in the scenery on the way(LOL) on the sunday. >> I fully intend to visit the tulip fields Your itinerary looks pretty much what I had in mind, although I think I'll bash the Ring for two days. Depending on weather and punishment the car will take. Probably on track for half day then spectate at various parts the rest and do the same the next day. I'm also looking at a trip to Spa. Just need to convince the Wife it will be good for us to be apart a bit more this year. Although once I mention a jaunt over the Stelvio in September it may be apart for a long while I'm definetly at the canny wait stage !!

No worries Jamie. It would be good to get a few folk along for the banter and beers. Must admit I'm cacking myself, but really looking forward to it
-
Sorry mate, I won't be able to make it. I'd done a shift swap and cannot really get out of it.

Chaps and Chapettes, As stated above, anyone interested in a wee boat trip from Rosyth, a further squirt through Holland and blatting up an Autobahn to the Ring for a couple of days, then turning around and coming back again?? Dates are likely to be the 24th March for outward jouney. Return date still to be decided. Serious interest only please. I may also be looking for a co-pilot. http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ I know this should probably go in general, but seeing as we would be starting from Scotland I posted here. ...John

<< No way man McRae in a Skoda I'm a fanatical McRae supporter but that is taking the biscuit, what happens if they bring out a Series McRae Fabia, i'm ganna be scunnered cause there is no way that im buying a bloody Skoda unless it came with 700nm of torque, 6 speed sequential, carbon fibre everything, active diffs, hydraulic handbrake, launch control and antilag all for £5000 with a 3 year warranty and 3 years free servicing then i would maybe, just maybe, consider it Seriously, if it means McRae in the WRC then it's a good thing for A, the sport in general B, Scottish pride Grant >> Grant, is that not what the masses said about the 'Subaru' before McRae made it fashionable. You know I'm right!! I'll give it another year and Skoda will be right up there in everyones wish list. Especially when they DO bring out a marketing profile raising car with 240bhp, 220lbs-ft, 6 speed, lightweight blobeye basher that can be easily tuned to 300bhp. <puts crystal ball back in bag whilst putting silver reflective suit on >

<< Had a good day. Track very busy and some of the driving was a bit dodgy. Best laugh of the day was when the guy who drives the "Tattoo crazy" green Nova fell of and mangled the front of his car. He was driving too fast round the paddock at the last SIDC day. he was in a discussion with the driver of a mk5 RS2000 rally car in a "full and frank" manner. >> Dodgy driving !!!! There was more red flags than you see at a bullfight. I counted 12 in three hours...all for recovery The 'mint' or not so mint green Nova was amusing. Must have been the world record for leaving the pits to returning smashed. The driver was bleeting on about how some inconsiderate chap got in his way. Even tho he was on an outlap, going far to fast and passing on the blind side He was also not amused at me suggesting that its okay, his track insurance would cover him........some folk cannot take a joke I've a photo of it which I'll post up later.. I've also posted some pics on the MLR site http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.p...&threadid=60047

<< No worries John Be good to have a talk...... you were a bit too busy Saturday at KH to speak LOL Spooks >> Just tell Rose she owes me a new door handle, as my passenger one has some pretty hefty indentations And I've still got a temporary hearing shift in my left lug!! See you there at some point. ...John

Spooks, Is it okay i tag along mate. Probably won't meet you at the bridge, but will come along a bit later as I have the wee man this weekend. ...John

Robertio, Possibly mate. I've something on that day so I'll need to see if I can bodyswerve it first. ...John

John, I was under the car yesterday and I've lost my offside undertray protection. I can only guess it is lying either at MacIntryes or at Clark next to the cones that were flicked to the side of the track Glad you enjoyed it mate. Geometry has been sorted, so hopefully I'll manage to keep it tidier next time. Or I'll have to try harder to dance around the track.

Just wait until the new ecu with anti-lag. Wonder if I could roast some Caterham drivers??
