Acht it's ok I suppose.
Only joking - looking braw. Still not fancy a straight swap?

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent company - a very big thankyou to Peter & his staff - well done all.
-
Very nice jimser - I hope it isn't on that car carrier that's been adrift off cornwall though!
-
Nice. Very nice.
Welcome to the site!

Gus - do you think Dunc would be able to do a geo check 'while u wait'? I'd like to get mine done after blowing out the front tyre sidewall a couple of weeks ago.
Also - how much is it?
-
Ah! Fair enough. I take it you've just bought Irish Al's blue WRX then?
-
pmac - if your looking for an importer you could look up chapman81 on here - he's well respected for bringing over decent cars I believe. (not used him myself, only seen other people posting about him)
-
Yep - blobeye with prodrive springs & prodrive geometry. Just had to get two new T1's as the inner sidewall blew out on one of the fronts last week. Inner edges of the two fronts were quite worn.

I remember Clarkson saying a couple of weeks back that the oil companies build, mantain & staff huge oil rigs, pump the stuff (and/or ship it in tankers), refine it, send it out to the petrol stations (which have to make a profit too) all for 35p a liter.
When you look at it like that (although some oil companies do announce massive profits regularly) it doesn't seem too bad. Just the greedy government taking their huge cut.

hes got a Glasgow tel. no. but its a postcode from Shotts, wtf.????
Marky - I think thats the postcode Gus used when searching for it.

Me and the Mrs will be there.

If it doesn't have to be an indian you can't go far wrong with Peter's chinese restraunt in Paisley - Kwang Tung i think it's called.
Other than that, the only Indian i've been to in Glasgow is Mr Singhs in Charing Cross - http://www.mistersinghsindia.com/

Mmm. torn 50/50 on thw white/gold debate.
How about - get a set of gold 18's, perhaps the Ultraleggera's. Then get the gold 17's that are on the car just now powdercoated white.
White is a PITA to clean. Like, MAJOR PITA to clean.

Need to use the car first thing Thursday morning & it looks like the pair of T1R's I ordered on Friday have got lost somewhere - anyone know where I can get a pair of T1R's or T1S (not fussed) tomorrow in the central belt? (225 40 18)
Anyone?

Great pics guys. Neil - the orange Sierra - has that been shopped?
-
With the T1R on the front you are going to notice a bit of difference in handling purely due to the stiffer sidewall. Part worns on the rear may make for some interesting handling
I don't hammer the car much, especially now that the cold weather is coming in, so I hope I don't notice much difference. I'm told that you can't get T1S tyres anymore, so I wasn't wanting to spend £400 just because of one puncture!
-
Mind the tyres I need are 18's Neil. Aye, glad it didn't let go doing 70'ish along the motorway - I drove down to Newcastle & back in it yesterday too.

Braw

Spooky! Front passenger side for me too, inner sidewall.
-
Oh - and for those that want a laugh - split the erse right oot ma jeans when bending down to have a look at the punctured tyre.
Two new tyres : £200
New Pair of Jeans : £30
Standing ootside B Swift with my erse hingin oot - priceless.

T1-R wear much better than T1-S. My 03 STI would wear the outer edges of the S in 9 months, the R's are wearing much better due to the harder compounds\edges etc...
I wouldn't like to have mixed tyres on my car. You might find the car a tad tail happy with grippy rubber on the front and worns on the rear.
Holly thread resurrection batman!
Similar dilema - 03 WRX, done about 17K on a set of T1S with the prodrive settings on the suspension.
Driving home from work today and the inner shoulder of one of the fronts blows (fortunately only at 20mph) so i've ordered two new T1R tyres (£100 each, fitted and balanced from B Swift, Whitburn).
I take it it'll be fine to have two half-worn T1S on the rear and two brand-new T1R on the front?
Only my 2nd puncture in 18 years, not bad going. Tyre was ruined though, sidewall was no longer attached at some points!

Only looks good on a 'proper' WRC-look car. Perhaps AndyJDMSTI might sell you his car if he can bear to part with it.
