Looking for a cheap back box. Heading back to the Nurbergring on 10th Nov. Last time I went I only just made it through the noise tester. Dont want to get all the way over there and not get on this time. At the moment I have a full decat system with the Hayward and Scott jap style back box. Just need something with a bit more baffle in it to quiet it down. Not looking to spend to much as it will be taken back off again when I get back. So if anybody has anything lyin about they dont want let me know. Cheers Graham.

I,ve uprated the drop links already. I,ll hopefully get a chance over the weekend to look over the car not had a chance yet. I wasn't there when my mate put the car back together. Thought he might have forgotton about the plastic spigot for the alloy to fit on the hub. Should get it sorted. Dont get any vibrations or movement through the steering so hopefully its not to bad.

Only had them on the the car since thursday. Took it round Knockhill on Friday afternoon. Not had a chance to check anything yet. Fitted them at a friends garage he has a ramp so made it a bit easier. Had to strip all the back seats out and all the trims to get into the rear struts. Put new braided brake hoses on at the same time. Just got the anti roll bars to go on.

Just fitted a new set of eibach springs to my 1997 classic. Was a pain to fit the rears, got it done in the end. Just wondered if anybody else has done this, now have a knocking noise coming fron the offside front. I know the springs are slightly shorter but never had this on any other car. I'm still running on the original dampers.

I touch goats Cheers Graham. -
Hi Weeb I went to the ring in April. The weather was a bit crap. Track was shut for most of the day. Managed to get about 6 laps in though. The place awesome everybody is totally geared up for it. The place to stay is the Teir Garten Hotel. We got the ferry from Rosyth. Once you get to the other side it only takes about 2 hours to get there. A few mates have just come back from there again. Got the ring taxi form Siobian. The girl that took the Transit van round for Top Gear. Planning to back again in November weather permitting.

I have a set of mintex pads I was about to return to demon tweeks. As far as I know they are 1155 type. They were bought for going to the Nurbergring but didnt fit my calipers. They might not be suitable for everyday use though. They cost about £80 for the set.

Lightened Pulleys and flywheel - Pro's Cons
graham_nairn replied to mazheriqbal_mohammed's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I had the gearbox rebulit about 6-7 months ago and while I was at it got a lightend flywheel. Initially didnt notice to much difference but after driving the car on different roads noticed a difference in the way the car picked up. In a higher gear it did pick up alot faster. I did upgrade the clutch at the same time aswell. -
Folks enjoy yourself. Sorry cant make this meet. Only 2 mins along the road to. Flying out on holiday for 2 weeks on Friday morning.

Was trying to attach pictures to a thread but the file size is bigger than 200kb. Is there anyway I can reduce the size of the picture so I can post it? Cheers Graham.

Matt They are 7*17" with 215/40s The wheels are BK 121. I havent got any pics at the moment. I'll try post them up soon as. I'm not looking for much for them. Go on holiday in a 2 weeks so a wee bit extra cash would come in handy. Cheers Graham.

Dave I'd be up for that again. Couldn't make the last one. Had that trip to the ring. Had a look in the diary today the 23rd is still available for either 16 or 32 drivers. Sooner we get the numbers up the better tho. Cheers Graham.

I had a bit of an off about a year ago. My car went to nobles. Derek looked after the whole thing. Was very pleased and impressed with the service I got.
