  1. Not me guv'nor - frighten a fellow old person, never []
  2. Looks pretty unanimous - bye bye Notcutts [Y] Best start altering the club diary Ian and sort out a map lol
  3. Surprised that the gritters have been out - after all the councils have only had 2 days notice and in normal circumstances that would mean they didn't need to grit until friday lol
  4. I noticed cameras set up in the central reservation in that area yesterday but these were pointing at the London-bound carriageway - are these working yet? I assumed not as there were no previous warning signs.
  5. Without trying to make light of what is obviously a serious matter, letter bombs have gone off this week at the Congestion Charge HQ , a company that has the government contract for speed cameras and now at the DVLA. The Home Secretary and the Police have suggested these could be the work of a "disgruntled motorist". Well that narrows their field of enquiry down to say 25 million. How much are we paying these officials?
  6. ......and another couple ; 1. Man's just come out of the operating theatre and he's still under the influence of the anaesthetics. Despite this he manages to open his eyes a little and tell his wife "you're beautiful". She'd never heard him say this before in all the years they'd been married so she decided to stay with him at his bedside. Some time later he opened his eyes again and muttered "oh hello dear ". She looked at him and said "why not beautiful?" He replied " the anaesthetics are beginning to wear off" 2. Two blondes, out for the night, walked into a bar..............................you'd have thought one of them would have seen it! The old'uns are the best []
  7. Sadly, given the gun crime in the States, you'll probably find that he went away , got a gun and blew her away - then took his change out of the till. Still it is every Americans right to bear arms.........................[]
  8. Just found it on the BBC local news site - at this stage it looks like its just one of many proposals to cut down on traffic in the town centre. Must confess that its always busy approaching and in the town centre mainly due yet another bloody bus lane running the whole length of the road with NO buses in it [:@]. Free up that lane again and the traffic would move easier.
  9. There are some nice mug shots and registrations on the you-tube postings - shouldn't be too hard for the naughty boys to be spoken to by the local constabulary if they choose to follow it up []
  10. Very good Markie..........suppose you been at home all day thinking of that lol
  11. Whats this all about Ian? I sometimes drive thru Greenwich to work so this could affect me........where did you hear this? Is it a local thing brought in by Greenwich council?
  12. Next meet is on the 16th - theres a seperate thread with map!
  13. Makes a lovely noise as well...............psssssssssssh and whistle, even at slow speeds [Y]
  14. Been several times.......its a good laugh although found that being a bit on the larger size I made an easy target lol
  15. Welcome to Kent Scoobies..........................ask nicely and Granby will do you a couple of maps - he's good like that []
  16. Sorted [] rang a friend who went through the 'tools - clear browser' route which has cleared the list of searched sites - this seems to be the route that most of you guys have since suggested so thanks anyway. Had previously tried clearing the history via the Google toolbar down arrow option but that only clears items searched via the toolbar for some reason. Now I know how to clear it I may as well get back to viewing porn []
  17. thanks Ian - have posted a thread - could you 'pin' it so it stays up the top . Thanks [Y]
  18. thanks Ian - have posted a thread - could you 'pin' it so it stays up the top . Thanks
  19. Thats not worked [] Anyone else got any ideas?
  20. Yes I know its still only January but having regard to the present club diary there aren't many completely free weekends this side of September - given the costs (shuttle, petrol, shopping etc) and the fact that it can be quite a long day I thought it best to pick a day when there's nothing else planned for the whole weekend. With this in mind we're looking at SATURDAY 7 JULY. Arrangements will be firmed up later on but at this stage the thread is being posted simply to give people plenty of time to sort out diaries, PASSPORTS etc etc. In due course details will be posted up of the shuttles we're travelling on and a rough itinerary for the day so if you decide you want to come along you simply have to book your tickets direct with Eurotunnel. This arrangement worked well last year and we all had a bloody good day out so lets see if we can repeat it this year. [] UPDATE - For information a return ticket (travelling out about 07:50 and returning before 22:00 local time) is going to cost £54 . This is the price per car including passengers, not per person [] Looks like its Saturday 7 July then .......... note your diaries and watch this space for updates.
  21. Unless you know of anything thats not in the diary yet, could we pencil in Saturday 7 July - the 14th is Bastille Day so the whole of France will be out on the roads, in restaurants etc. Will post a seperate thread which perhaps you could then 'noticeboard ? ' to keep it at the top - if theres an initial response to that being an unsuitable date then perhaps Saturday 18 August as an alternative. Thanks Ian.
  22. funny, because that one came into my mind on way home last night
  23. Can't find that clear option, even with my glasses on - can you give me a call Ian on the mobile - lost your mobile number when my previous mob died last week along with all my stored nos
