I've got one sticker - with the black writing - if anyone wants it. I was sent one of each rather than 2 white - its quicker for me to buy another white one via paypal than it is send it back for a swap.

No disrespect to Hartley but is there anywhere these days that you can really call safe? Recently got back from holiday in Iceland and that's a place that really sets an example to the rest of the world - no litter on the streets, no asbos walking the streets at night, no car rage........apparantly they had a murder there in July - first one for two years!!!! I'd give serious thought to moving there

MS"]I'll upset the apple cart by saying that I'm more than happy for Ian to take on the role of SIDC R/O but would much prefer a 'team' in place to run Kent Scoobies. I believe that we're all of the opinion that its too much of a role for one person to take on and with Peles other commitments its a case of appointing new faces or people to help her by sharing the load.

See its a different route this year - tunnelling into Kent and along the A2 thru the Blackwall Tunnel to McD's rather than along the A13 where everyone usually gets split up

I agree with you Hugh........it has been my impression since joining this club that being R/O automatically went with the role of Kent Scoobies organiser ( or vice versa) yet in her post at the top of this page, Pele quite categorically states that the meeting on Sunday is to discuss the role of R/O which '...clearly has been confused with that of KS organiser..' In another recent post Pele went on to say how in the past she'd arranged events, sent out emails etc etc so all said and done, she seems to have taken on the role of Kent Scoobies organiser and perhaps its for this reason people have assumed she always has been. Even Ian, who's been in this club far longer than me assumed they ran together. Perhaps establishing a separate KS organiser is something that should be discussed as well on Sunday[/font]

This just about sums the whole situation up at the moment - is this going to set the standard for Sundays meeting which a lot of others were perhaps hoping would see the start of something new for the Club

It's clear from the feelings of the postings on this issue that there are matters that need to be sorted over and above the question of the R/O. In the circumstances could I propose that the R/O matter be dealt with at the outset and then subject to the outcome and the numbers still there we try to resolve any other matters? This way you can get away early and perhaps we then save having to arrange another meeting or at the least, have the basis from which an agenda for that next meeting can be put together. [/font]
