  1. Set price - government supported agency and a charity who are not out to make a profit but improve the standard of driving on U.K. roads - they run courses for fleets, bikers, lorry drivers etc and packages have been given away free by manufacturers as diverse as Daewoo and Honda.

The "Skill for Life" package is £85, includes you first years membership when you pass, local organisation membership, free observed lessons from your local organisation, a "How to pass your Advanced Driving Test" book (usually about £15) - it really is priced at £zero in terms of what you get.  You basically pay for your membership, test fee, the book, and some admin costs.

    SO worth it.

  2. Thanks for the welcome.

The deer whistles (www.deerwhistle.co.uk) are supposed to be a safety device to emit a sound frequency which freeze deer. It is a bit worrying to round a corner on a twisty road at night and see reflections, moving, where there previously hadn't been any reflection posts.

BTW I was with some people  who were swapping deer stories and the sometimes serious impact a collision with them can make. Someone said that they hit a pheasant with their left front wing and the pheasant got up and ran away and their 2CV was almost a write off.

A work colleague hit a deer in his Volvo estate.  06 plate.  £7k damage, airbags off etc - 9 weeks to repair...still not right.  The deer got up and ran away!

    Might be a good idea.

  3. Yep that's the leccy mirror switch..

For those that havent spotted it, looks like STi console dash with rev counter in the middle?  Not sure if that was on My03 WRX's or not.. Think they still left the rev counter at the RHS at that point.

Would still say WRX as I fancy making that change myself if I find a doner STI dash... [:)]

Blobeye WRX had the rev counter in the middle and green dials with red needles.
