  1. MLR link Some funny pics here. Brian
  2. Looking good John, Nice subtle change from the Enkei's - good choice. Brian
  3. I would believe that is the opinion held by almost all members of this forum Vixter. No need to apologise for your beliefs. If the security of the originally posted information needed to be guaranteed or does in future then it could be posted in the members only section at the top of the forum home page and a link to it placed in the Scottish Scoobies section. The members section can only be read by members who have been granted access. Brian
  4. Sorry Spooks, As you know I am in Aberdeen all weekend. Brian
  5. I might add I am running Pagid RS 4.2.1 pads (slightly more expensive than the Ferrodo) but they are lasting up well, not too messy, pretty quiet and again Alyn will do a good price. He reckons these slightly have the edge over the Ferrodo's. P.S. Both the Ferrodo's and the Pagid's are designed to work well from cold and with OEM discs too. Brian
  6. Do you reckon it was someone who posts here - what an arse if it was
  7. The top place to buy is A S Performance. Alyn will do you a great price on the pads etc - I think they will be around £135 a pair for the fronts. Mention the SIDC when you phone/email him. Brian
  8. Good idea. I take it the clothing is Scottish Scoobies specific as several of us already have SIDC type clothing, which is available to buy. I'd certainly purchase something with Scottish Scoobies/SIDC and the flag on it... Brian
  9. It was worth it Phil, although we do not know the details - I can only refer to the crap that forum users of another site "went through" in the lead up to Scottish Scoobies. I hope the support and growth of this section by new and old members has been a vindication that, when all the flak has faded in the past, it was worth it. We certainly thank you for that. Brian
  10. I'm not on for a day and it all falls apart - what's been going on then? I can't afford the full entry fee so I have offered to pay it up through the C.S.A. for 234 years Me
  11. He caught it where I catch mine - ASDA Brian
  12. Good on you Willie, I am sure it will be an improvement, both administratively and for the users. Brian
  13. Check out Andy's site - details of his 03 WRX on that. The number of folk who've had ECUTEK remapping done by him is growing... Brian.
  14. Nah - just the thong (so you told me anyway )

  16. He could supply all the stuff you would need and may recommend a full exhaust system, custom built by someone like C&C Custom Stainless in Hillington. Give Andy a phone or check out Andy Forrest Performance Don't try to do it on the cheap - you'll just get less for your money in the long run. The classic ECUTEK remap, exhaust and panel filter generally do the job nicely for most people. You can go further and Andy will advise you of that. You won't find better than Andy - everyone will vouch for him. Do a search on here or Scoobynet. Brian
  17. Port Seton. About £500 - £600 bargain for the remap. The exhaust is the best way of releasing power - full decat or sports cat (as I said above). Remapping on the standard exhaust is a waste really as you can get more with a change. You're looking at circa 275 BHP with an exhaust change and map but the torque will match this. It's overall driveability you need, not just BHP. PPP is the other option but more expensive. Andy could get you more as he has on his own cars BUT the engine and its components (not least the gearbox) will be under strain. These cars can be fragile if badly modded, can det and essentially fail so you need a quality map by a guy like Andy to make sure you still have a car that runs. Would NOT recommend a superchip as it may be cheaper and good for a saxo but not for an Impreza. Issues like fuelling and timing need to be carefully set for your car and for your mods, not just a general model map. Gonna cost you around £1000 to get a good map, full exhaust system and maybe a uprated hoses in the engine bay. You'll want to get a knocklink to see if its detting (very bad) and maybe some other gauges to make sure it is running well. Andy would map it for Optimax. Brian
  18. ECUTEK remap - not superchips - no point when the ECU is very flexible and responds very well to mapping (and specifically for your actual car). To get more power you're looking at a full exhaust system including headers (preferably with decat but could be with a single sports cat), with a larger fuel pump & injectors (with turbo upgrade) for bigger power. ANDY F is your man. He is in Port Seton. Brian
  19. You'll soon know when your thread "disappears" for no reason Anyway, he's got one
