  1. Sounds great - wish I could have been there but hey!

The runs are always memorable - hopefully none will be memorable for the wrong reasons, and it is good to see people showing a 'degree' of common sense - just a degree I add as otherwise the runs would be like the childrens taxi day outing face-icon-small-smile.gifface-icon-small-smile.gif

  2. I also like my Brdigestone RE-050's - GZ type for a 2003 onwards WRX (there were 16 versions of this RE-050 listed for different car models). Toughened sidewall.

Other good tyres are the relatively new technology B F Goodrich G-Force Profiler (NOT Profiler G - they are terrible) - designed and tested for the WRX. Very good.

  3. I still wave. However, many people don't. I think a lo of people do not know about this, or the SIDC. Also, many people are buying older cars because they are cheap, the boy racers have them and also the WRX can be bought as a fleet car option too.

    A shame.

  4. Hi all,

Lost all my photo's, video clips and stuff I have collected over my years of Impreza ownership - very annoyed...damn PC.

Does anyone have any pictures of my car at events, me with my car, video clips of my car moving, or any old school video clips from SIDC/ Scoobynet days gone by (e.g. R.R. days etc?). I certainly had quite a few other people had taken.

Much appreciated if you do and I can get a copy of them.

  6. I have Pagid RS 4.2.1 with standard discs and they seem to be holding out very well, although more expensive - also try Ferrodo DS2500's.

Unless you are killing your car everywhere, your pads should last longer. Try not to use the brakes like the old, shall remain nameless, 11000 posts of crap, on Scoobynet one who has managed at least 60,000 miles on his first set, not even half worn, runs on standard unleaded, hates modifications...some may knwo who I mean - starts an argument inside a paper bag.

Try phonign Alyn @ AS Performance for a good price on the Pagids - he is VERY helpful and loads of people use him.

I wish I hadn't spent so much on a Hayward & Scott system as I could have had a better fitting stainless system made for me in Glasgow, for much less. I have bought both the H&S classic backbox and the jap style back box not to mention center, down and up pipes. Both backboxes sit so low they look bloody awfull. I have the classic style fitted and it sits about 5" too low, it looks like it's going to fall off! And before anyone asks, yes it is properly fitted. I'm getting it modified by someone at the end of the month I'll post before and after pics and contact details if they do a good job.
