Know what you mean Rab, dont think my Type R's ratios are as short as your RA's but it does get a bit much on the motorway. I have a very quiet exhaust which helps though[]

Stick some white 18" compomotive wheels on that rab and it will be perfect[H]

Had new quality leads fitted when new engine was put in, I assume they also replaced the plugs.

In the last week or so i have noticed the car hesitating on and off while cruising at approx 3000rpm. It feels like i am pushing the accelerator down then lifting off every second but my foot is steady on the throttle. Very noticable, can feel my head going back and forward like I am on a boat. Its also become quite jerky on and off throttle in traffic. Could this be a MAF fault?

Was out last night in the wet and nearly had an off at very low speeds, Falken 512's have absolutely no lateral grip in the wet[:@] roundabouts are 15mph now, cornering is seat of the pants stuff, bloody scary and dangerous. Had the back wheels spinning in a straight line on a damp road in 2nd! Col.

I put 4 falken 512's on the other week, not impressed with them in the wet understeers like mad. Not been pushing them in the dry becuase of my wonky suspension but they seem ok. Col.

I've got STI 8 Brembos on mine, havent had any probs with pedal feel or bite but desperately needing to change pads. Got mintex 1144 on just now and they are really awful, rumbling and soft pedal while braking from anything over 80mph! the pad have only done 3000 miles. Think i cooked them on a spirited run the other week[:$] They were on the car when i bought it so dont know of any mods that have been made to get them to fit. My cars runnning 8" wide rims so there are no clearance problems, Grant at AWD runs them on his classic too maybe an idea to call him and see whats involved. Col.

Think the 6r4 driver was at it, he was pretty slow in the practice and qualifiers. He even broke down a couple of times but still made it to the final, where he then got off the line like a rocket and nearly won the whole event!

The ford focus's were completely mad, 0-60 in 2secs! and very reliable too, almost every other car had some sort of break down through the day especially the clio V6's.

While most of you were in sheep touchingshire I was at knockers getting covered in stoor. There was a great selection of cars, from 14 year olds in minis to 6r4s, Focus and Xsara WRC cars, an Audi TT, lotus exige, clio v6's,puma, but no scoobs[] Dont think Polished bliss could get this looking mint again- Xsara driver needs to call Autoglass!- Puma taking alternative racing line- Bumper mounted tyre handy for rear-ending competitors- TT giving it some Mental 600bhp focus- Flying evo- The best sounding rally car ever- Kids in minis using all the track and more- Clio v6 destroying the tyre wall and his front end- Xsara doing the same- Steering doesnt work when your 3ft in the air- Col.

You should head down for the Fast car event on the 27th, if your wanting on track it probably wouldnt be a good idea cos it will be mobbed. If your just spectating though theres usually plenty going on, DJ's playing on the Corona stage, Miss fast car which gets a bit risky usually[:$] drifting on the oval. Usually a good day if you dont mind being surrounded by burberry and buckfast neds!
