  1. Another great day, itching to get mine on track now! Big up to Baldyadonis for the pax laps, going broadside into clarks was fun[] Good to meet up with a great bunch of people again, that cold pint afterwards in Powmill was very tasty[] Will try and get some pics up later, didnt take too many as I was more interested in pax laps and getting the banter! 4. That video sums up the whole Hot hatch day scene, total entertainment for the spectators and great fun for the drivers. If you take a good car round your off your head, keep it for the Hot Marques tracknights/days. I have been at Knockhill 20+ times this year and see all sorts of driving, a lot of the hot hatchers are terrible drivers but there are also a few who have amazing car control and are very quick around a lap. The hot marques drivers obviously take it a bit more easy on track but a far higher percentage of them cant drive for peanuts, too much money not enough talent! p.s. Knockhill were having problems with the new tarmac they laid at the start of the year so have re-surfaced most of the corners. Last sundays hot hatch day had the most offs i have ever seen, coincidence? stay safe out there![]

  21. Think I will go in disguise! All you guys will be crawling past me otherwise[] As I spend loads of time at KH and have seen hundreds of cars lapping I reckon I have a very good knowledge of the track even though I have never driven on the new surface- Seat Curves(duffus) seems to the biggest problem corner, the new surface allows greater entrance speed but the problem is people swinging the car back to the left to get the line for Scotmans.Swinging it left while the car is trying to go right makes the rear very light therefore causing the car to spin and usually go into the gravel sideways and probably onto its roof[] I have been passenger with Iain Forrest in the pace car and he says there is no real need to swing so far over just keep it straight and keep it tight round the sharp right of scotmans. The chicane doesnt seem to cause as many probs now, the exit used to catch a lot out but seems to be a lot grippier now. Clarks, the tight uphill blind right is still a tricky one. The gravel trap has been moved right to the edge of the kerb so if you run even a little bit wide your going to have a bumpy ride, just keep it flat and you should go through ok, ease off and you'll dig into gravel and probably spin ending up across the track on the exit of a blind bend! not good! Hairpin is a bit wider and grippier so no probs there unless your brakes fail[] Have fun!![]
  22. Fraz, Which clio was that? the silver 172 sport race car? The only other one was blue with yellow stickers, bit of a heap! Tyresqueal, I think he's telling porkies[] unless his astra can do 8 laps in under 2mins!
