  3. Fellow Scooby owners be afraid......be VERY afraid[]
  4. Nankangs and 2-pots on the nurburgring..........[:|]
  5. Gee, Dont have any of that Cossie, I left the first stage early to get to errochty then it was cancelled so didnt see any 4wd's until stage 5. Col.
  6. Another manifold question! Are the red top manifolds any different to normal ones? apart from the colour!
  7. Had a great day apart from the long delays and cancellation of errochty after standing about for over an hour[] The best bit was going from errochty to drummond hill racing a 106 gti and a merc ML jeep! which managed to keep up until his brakes caught fire near aberfeldy! Only a few pics because i havent been in for long. Colin shortly before his problems- Tayside police entry was a bit off the pace!! This was a wee bit close!!
  8. Sorry Grant but the back seats already taken[] Is there no other weegies wanting to come along that you could co-drive with?
  9. I am meeting somebody in the layby between the inveralmond roundabout and broxden (north) at 8.30am. If anybody fancies coming along.
  10. Ok whos up for a wee blast about the countryside with a bit of rally spectating in between? Myself and my co-driver Pugpaul are leaving dundee at 8am on saturday morning and heading for Dunkeld for the first stage. Colin, Alistair and Jimmy Mcrae will all be driving Mk2 Escorts, they usually go through first as course cars before the proper rally championship guys come through. 2wd's first then 4wd's They will not be driving like course cars though! Colin always gives it 110% for the spectators[] remember this is his own personal custom built 300bhp Mk2 that is as quick as a WRC on the right stage. Planning to watch most of the quick guys then leave and head upto Errochty, just off the A9 near Calvine. There is a huge field provided for parking and its only a short walk to the stage. After that, its a blast along a road you will never forget[] this ones a bit special as long as its quiet, lots of very tight corners, hairpins, big dips and rises, jumps, one of which is completely huge! I grew up in this area and learnt how to drive quickly on this very stretch! eventually ending up in Aberfeldy where the service area is set up. The last stage is just outside Aberfeldy so may have time for that too. All of this may change on the day as rallies often have hold ups etc but this is the basic plan ! We will be passing perth approx 8.30am so could meet up with others there. Col.
  11. As far as I know it is 'open' door, anybody can come in as its a pub. Me and Pugpaul are heading to the Craigvinean stage at dunkeld for the first few cars then going upto Errochty after that for stage 4. Will prob pop into Perth for a wee look after, could meet up with you Den if you want. Col.
  12. Who needs a runway when you have the Garve to Achnasheen road in wester ross?! possibly the fastest stretch of road in the country[] How about a SIDC Midnight Club, like those mad japs?!
  13. Theres also errol airfield between perth and dundee, mostly used for car boot sales these days but theres a runway in there somewhere! I havent been near the place in years so dont know what state its in, do any tayside bargain hunters know!?
  14. http://www.nearlygood.com/video/dukesofhazard.html I liked this one! not many safety precautions though, if it had landed on its wheels it could have easily ended up in the crowd. damn rednecks!
  15. Since getting the tein basic kit fitted the handling has gone to pot. Steering getting heavy then light under cornering loads, front end darting all over the shop when changing direction, steering very wooly compared to what it was like as standard. Geometry was done by Target in perth through the people that fitted the kit for me, didnt ask for this because I dont think target have a clue what they are doing tbh. Feels very dodgy pushing the car hard now, steering goes so light it feels like its diconnected from the wheels! seems worse on right handers. Tyre pressures are fine, any ideas what could be wrong? its never ending with this car....so close to getting rid[]
  16. Didnt take my big camera but did have a camera of sorts! do have some interesting pics but cant share them as i dont have copyright!
  17. Was out in Edinburgh with my mate last night and popped into his...er.....gentlemans club[:$] purely for business reasons of course! Hes just bought a new van that they use for getting punters to the club and he also obtained a very apt number plate............[] Col.
  18. It does look a lot like the Seat Leon touring car
  19. very nice Higgster, did you get the other mod you let slip about at Knockhill last Friday?!
  20. Hi again John, Tayside meet 2nd October I think, not sure where either but keep an eye on events. When you moving up? Col.

  23. Your keen going out in that weather! 99.9p for V-power? that must be the most expensive in the country, only 92.9p in dundee.
  24. We should all go and spectate in the morning on the stages, get a good wee run upto errochty and see them all in action[]
