Yep same as above the Nokian WR tyre, had these for 2 winters now in Scotland and they transform the cars handling and grip in snow compared to standard road tyres. They cost me £320 and if that saves you from ending up in the car in front or in a field then it's a no brainer! Rob.

Very sad news indeed Deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Kate and Paul's family. I've known Paul for quite a few years and have had many a tussle with him at Knockhill and Alford. He certainly enjoyed his life to the full and will be sadly missed. RIP Paul.

We were running the full 3 laps with a crossover with the same start finsh line, whereas the timing sprints run a shorter lap with the finish line at the far end of the track. To give you an idea my time yesterday was 65.7 ish on RE070's, last year with proper timing using the sprint lap setup I ran a 58.4 with standard road tyres.

I second what Jools has said about John, without him none of these events would take place so cheers for another cracking day out! The staff at Alford were excellent as well, what with the few niggley problems with padlocks! Seems they were very happy with the club at how well everyone behaved on track! Enjoyed myself inmensly as well what with the weather and all, however it was getting rather hot for the turbo charged cars and my forehead, but a great show never the less. Good to see the Police taking an interest in the event, and I do believe PC Gary Donald is a car nut himself! Shame he wouldn't let me loose on his car though!! Roll on next year when we'll make it even bigger!!

John, Are there other car clubs turning up for displaying etc? I've a couple of PMR440 radios like we used last year and if people can bring some more along we would be covered. Do we have the PA organised? Rob.

Blimey u collecting rader detectors!!!! AFAIK the 550 was a European model which replaced the 990 International, not sure what the differances are but I'll find out.

Martin, would you like to make an offer on the Bel 990?

Martin, both the units are in a cupboard unused so I'd rather someone gets use out of them.
