p1 isnt really detuned for the uk market as they came in with the gentlemans agreement 276bhp and fettled by prodrive for the uk market. Gav[]

dont know where your getting this horizontal bar thing from,to set the record straight,ALL uk classic non rb5 cars have rear seats that drop, therefore dont have any bars,rb5 has welded in diagonals and a solid welded in metal fixed parcel shelf between the 2 'c' pillars!identical to that of a p1(perhaps p1 sub your shell is 1 of these non sti 2 door coups LOL)hence the fact your p1 is so quick, weight saving and all that!how did you manage to fabricate the technical spec on that rb5 link so that it clearly reads SOLID REAR BULKHEAD,and the same for the p1,could it be anything to do with the FACT that both the rb5 & the p1 are based on sti shells!next i'll be getting advised that in fact p1's came into the country as 4 doors and some lunatic within prodrive decided to convert all 1000 of them to 2 doors, next i'll be told that there wasn't a white p1!LOL am ending maself here Gav

lol.lol.lol 2 all 3 items,i think i made about £6995,but after the re-con that was necessery on your old car i think i had to dip into my wallet!lol[].If memory serves me correctly did wullie at crail not have one of these so called wrx 2 door not sti imports? i only come on here for the banter![][] Gav

it must be fantastic to have more knowledge of a product than fuji heavy industries themselves......pity you dont! solid rear bulkhead! fact!subaru printed spec of original car!they obviosly dont know the product they market! i dont need to be corrected on the spec and features of the subaru product.......especially by someone who works on so many of them......but hasn't noticed that a uk classic turbo from 94-01 never had any form of diagonal bars from the factory, and an rb5 did,not bolted in by the way,but in fact welded to the shell of the vehicle therefore not easily removed. now on my eighth impreza and having owned them since 95 i think im pretty well versed on the ins and outs of the models i have owned,i dont 'read books',i drive, and luckily sell imprezas. 'ONE PERSON SAYS SOMETHING AND ITS GOSPEL'generally if subaru wish to put something into print then i would have thought that it would be gospel......unless of course they are in the habit of mis-leading there customers. 'I'M AFRAID ALL THESE THINGS ARE NOT TRUE'please go back to the post by P1 SUB click on the link, read, and then eat my humble pie! appology accepted! oh and by the way you dont need to 'WORK ON SCOOBS' to open a boot and look inside,i know plenty of spray painters who cant paint, panel beaters who cant beat, mechanics who cant fix.'FOR SURE'and salesmen who cant sell.....luckily i dont fall into any of the above categories. No, just another common scooby mistake. Just like RA's have alloy wings/tailgate and thinner glass! Clearly it is not a mistake,if you would like to phone i.m technical, they, with there wealth of knowledge will correct you and advise you that the rb5 has in fact, what subaru refer to as a 'solid back bulkhead' and that the car is in fact based on an sti6 shell(extra rigidity),and the afforementioned 'RA' or rally altered as it is commonly refered to in jdm in fact should have alloy wings and boot, thinner glass,no sound deadening etc....unless of course it has had accident damage in japan where a cheap fix can be done by fitting normal heavyweight panels but at less cost. With reference to my 'fixing cars aswell' no i tend not to get involved, and yes i am ONLY a SALESMAN,but my product and technical knowledge is good,in fact did you not have an rb5,so you should know all about the rear bulkhead thing, did i not buy your car when it was drive in falkirk T***SSG. Lol! That's such a funny thing! [] Show me a pic of it....this solid rear bulkhead. next time you have a classic uk turbo lying around park them side by side open the boots and....voila....solid rear bulkhead diagonals.....funnily identical to that of an sti4/5 4 door saloon!and totally different to that of a uk standard turbo saloon![]

the other thing that was unique to the rb5 was the fact that it was based on the sti shell therefore had the benefit of a solid rear bulkhead(which normal uk turbos didnt have) Gav
