  1. I had it when I went from the RE050s to the F1s too. Once they'd been scrubbed a bit and I'd got used to the more flexible sidewalls then I realised that they were just about as grippy in the dry, MUCH gripper in any form of moisture and much more comfortable. I'd done nearly 30K on nothing but RE050s so it was a bit change moving to the F1s, but would certainly be hard pushed to replace the F1s with anything else as they've been spot on.
  2. Good man. Let me know what you think as I could be tempted to book for the ALK too. Got some overtime this weekend so might need to use up some of the profits.
  3. It's not the banner ads at the side that are the problem, it's part of the styling of the posts themselves. Even with the ads off you still wouldn't see the full pictures on a small monitor.
  4. It's only about £40-50 John. Duncan does the Whiteline ALK too, might even still have the free fitting offer on. I'm still thinking about that and the ARBs as the FINAL FINAL FINAL stage of my project. Oh except three other things which have been hinted at on a couple of occasions. One of which is wheels which would mean breaking the bank as replicas are not for me. The other two of which will maybe see the light of day at some point []
  5. Kloon I'm sure that Del Seevers made one up for his WRX using Mesh from Halfords and it looked pretty excellent. I was thinking of doing my lower one as well and just cutting it to size as the premade ones seem to be a fortune.
  6. Tracking and geometery are not to be confused. Get it in for a full geo setup somewhere good and your car will be transformed.
  7. Possibly different price for the different cars. Classic and new age.
  8. Well the UK300 is the same as a WRX I believe. With PPP it will still be running two cats - the up pipe and the down pipe. The third will have been removed as part of the PPP. With PPP on a bugeye wrx I think you're looking at 250-260bhp. Your ECU can be remapped. You have to get the ECUTEK software installed on it then mapped. Just about everyone here that's been mapped has been done by Andy Forrest in Port Seton. You'd really want to get the car mapped if you fully decat it, for safety and for best performance. I got my WRX remapped 2 weeks ago after getting a full decat and I ended up with 290bhp and 290lb/ft of torque.
  9. Good looking car Grant. Less miles than mine and I've only had mine about 30 months.
  10. I ran prodrive geometery on standard WRX springs. All I changed was the droplinks at the time. Results: totally different car. For the better obviously.

  12. I would imagine the TSL is available in 2.5" or 3" at the centre section. Just decat it though.
  13. I didn't realise there was a standard geometery setting. I thought it was just a visual check between two guys at the factory. "All pointing in the right direction?" "Close enough!"
  14. When I took it up to Alford last year I ended up with two wheels on the grass passing a HUGE classic Bentley that moved across on me mid overtake. Was MOST entertaining.
  15. Nice Paul. What rims you gone for?
  16. Welcome to the club.
  17. Well .... thoroughly bizarre happenings. Light came on eastbound on the M8 earlier on. Just round that nice left hander after the bar-l. Headed out tonight down to Peter's for dinner and the light was off, but came back on again .... at the tasty right hander just before the bar-l, which is obviously the same corner as earlier, but in reverse. Went for a blast with a couple of people after dinner then headed home and the light stayed off the whole way. Can't really think of anything "new" that would be throwing it up. The EBC discs and pads combo certainly needs warming up more than the standard discs and ebc pads combo did. Peter commented on the judder on one BIIIIIG slow down, but on the way home I had a couple of ones that were heavier and everything was smooth again once things were warmed up.
  18. Great road that. Did it on the way to Alford last year. Good pictures too.
  19. Quick question before I go and start checking fuses and what not then heading to the dealers, but is the ECUTEK setup to flash warnings on other dash lights because my ABS one came on this morning. I wasn't under braking or anything, just gave it a bit of beans in 4th gear on the motorway and on it came.
  20. Getting the temp from above cylinder 3 gives you a higher temp reading as that's where the engine is warmest. I asked around for some advice and was told that was the best place to put it. I can't find the instructions I had for it, but I think there was a guide over on NASIOC. IC off, find the oil gallery, install the oil gallery plug, screw the sensor into that. Certainly the way it works on a new age.
  21. Damn right we do! Check the events section for more info. Glasgow meets are first Thursday of the month. Edinburgh is second Wednesday I think. Central... Paul will know I hope! Plus loads more - Knockhill, Crail, Runs, Rolling Road days.
  22. Welcome to the forums and the club.
  23. Good choice Paul. I'll give you 6 months before PPP is decided as being lacking.
  24. It's not running fast road or prodrive settings, that's for sure!
