  1. On KH I use the following set up, this is my opinion and Im sure others have a differing view, however, 1 3/4 degrees negative camber front 1 1/2 degrees negative camber rear 2mm toe in all round. this will not only give you a good posture on track but is also favouable on a fast road setup depending on how stiff your suspension is. The 2mm toe at the back gives you a more settled rear on the turn in, the 2mm toe in at the front sharpens the turn in but will feel a bit strange until you get used to it, it also will help if you left foot brake. These are all just my personal opinion. Callum W
  2. It happened to me as well 2 years ago, bodywork was repaired but the window fittings still tell the story[] There is little you can do, if they choose your car, then thats it. Im sorry and hope you cheer up soon. Callum
  3. 1.Fai17(on track) 2.G6RAY(spectating) 3.Marc29(spectating) 4.Gumball (not sure yet) 5.Ally-b 6.G mac 7. Wilky (On track)
  4. No, infact we have all seen the video of the cossie on the roundabout... and quite frankly 15mph with the tailout is nothing really to write home about. Lets see him do it at 80, even 50 would do. Then ill take my hat off. RWD tractor technology is old news these days, and subtle mods get the results people once had to work hard to get. Yawn, Im off back to the potting shed. Catch ye.
  5. http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?...t=000921#000000 Sorry mate it wont[] There are other options though. Callum
  6. He went to collect a portion of haddock, smoked of course, lol.
  7. (Wilky shakes his head and walks off to make another cup of camomile tea) Whatever dude.
  8. Looking forward to seeing you cossie mate sounds awesome.
  9. Yes I know hes my mate, etc etc........ But that car is feckin rapido!!! I can honestly say it took my breath away. I did not expect it to be that quick or spool as well. I dont churn out compliments readily but it was hard to believe the difference. Chris you have something to be very proud of. Callum W
  10. The car was started today properly after Andy F installed a mafsim. And sounded sweet as a nut. Water and oil tight and did exactley what it was supposed to do. Andy altered the map and off we trundled to give a nice clean base map for running in the engine and gearbox. Thanks Andy, you have no idea how good it was to see her run after 11 months. And thank you Bill and Colin for making my dreams come true. Ill post the whole story and the pictures when she is all done and dusted next week and running full chat.[] Callum W
  11. Callum, the MAFSIM does the job excellently, I was your Guineypig last week. ---john--- Great stuff, I watched your wee video clip of your car John, she really can hitch her skirt up and go!! what width of tyres are you running? Am I right in thinking they are 235s? Do you run spacers because of that? I would like to put a bit more rubber on the road. Callum
  12. I honestly have no idea, and I would be a liar to pluck a number out the air, I need to balance the torque with traction so if I cut on torque I can gain on bhp, its a case of "Ok thats mental, lets not do that, try something else", Im expecting to be able to run about 2.2bar wastegate permitting, which should be ok cos its been built for it not to creep. So I wont know until we go out. Whats your cossie running, they can really push silly boost. If there put together right they do exactley what it says on the tin, lol. I like cossies they GLF.
  13. No problem mate, let me get it run in first, lol Andy is giving me a MAFSIM tomorrow and a base map, then were mapping for power on the 17th. Cannot wait, Im like a wee boy atm. Whats your car, a cossie?
  14. Ok, how do you all work your clutch? is it a sidestep or are you more mechanically sympathetic? Wilky
  15. Great news Gav, I look forward to seeing your car. Callum
  16. Right, there is a wide and varied set of opinions as far as launching a subaru off the line is concerned, the aim of this thread is to open up a debate on how you do it, and how your experiences have taught you to adopt the technique that you have. Its not an attempt to steal anyones secrets, I for one am pants at it and would like to learn then go away on my own and practice. We have a very wide spectrum, from the Squirrel handbrake method to the 4 wheels spinning on the revlimiter, then drive it like you stole it method, which lunched my gearbox last year. So with that in mind, tell us all what you think works. Callum W
  17. Ah, I see the Oompha Loopa and the lion from the wizard of Oz are online tonight, great.
  18. That is very very nice, well done ricey. Chris, home run. very nice. Callum
  19. Come on now, there must be someone?? Or am I going to have it as an unmanned outpost?
  20. There are some very well constructed posts on this thread. I fully appreciate your comments Dave, and Abroath Smokie. There isnt an east west divide I enjoy attending both Edinburgh and Glasgow meets when time and sanity allow. We all choose who our friends are, who we like and who we dont like, 9 times out of 10 those you dislike actually turn out to be really nice people, and as we all sit here as keyboard warriors forming our own views and getting all opinionated or upset it takes a meet involving those parties or whoever to change mindsets. Unfortunatley in the past, coming from a very confrontational background I have had angry words with people only to discover later on what that person actually meant and that I actually like that person. I would like to take the time over the next few months to attend as many regional meets as I can in order to close a few chapters of nonsense, and also show off my newly discovered hair which alas is now diminising before i get the chance to enjoy it, lol. so i want you all to see it before its gone. [] With that in mind, to anyone Ive noised up, upset or openly abused, I apologise. This is a very unique club we have, with some great people and some very interesting cars. There isnt really cliques, just people who meet more regularly than others and who are better friends than others, I dont think we should confuse that, and I for my part will avoid giving this impression in the future. I like SIDC and i like all areas, Thanks for sharing it with me. Callum W
  21. The people who were going to look after John O Groats are falling like flies. I need a volunteer from up north to look after JOG whist the run is on heading north. This is a high profile job, Please help out if you can. Callum W
