  1. Yes Peter, they're there for good![] After being very anti-Subaru on Saturday, I'm now full of enthusiasm, waiting eagerly to buy some Scoob merchandise from Halleys with my winning voucher.[] Big thanks again to Russ, Graham and Bill from Eden. I honestly have yet to hear a bad word about this dealership!![]
  2. Huge thanks to Russ at Eden for sorting out my wheel problem so quick. After the wheel inexplicably breaking on Saturday, Russ has provided a set of WRX alloys with brand new tyres and even came along to the house to change them over, with help from the company MD!!! Eden will now take up the matter with Subaru. The break was nothing to do with powder coating, as some suggested as Eden do not powder coat Scooby wheels. Top class service.[]
  3. Hope you're flying back for Thursday's Fife meet![] Have a nice one.
  4. Thanks for your input guys. A few other people have mentioned the refurbishing process and that may be the problem. After close inspection of the other three wheels I noticed a crack in the other front wheel. Got a transporter there Russ!!
  5. All the very best Rosie.[<)]
  6. Wasn't me at Falkland.. Here's the wheel a bit bigger hopefully...
  7. Very generous offer jc. I touch goats.
  8. It is the brake disc, but thankfully I was almost stopped, so it's only turned a few times on the inside of the rim. Mr. RAC gave it a good check and said it looked ok.
  9. Not a funny story this. Driving along a straight road, in a line of slow moving cars, doing about 25mph and the steering started to shudder. A couple of seconds later it got worse so I pulled into the side and just before the car stopped, 'pop' and the car dropped at the front. I was going to drive up on the verge, but thought I'd better have a look first at what had happened. I couldn't believe what I saw. The wheel broken right off. I have never kerbed the wheels since I got the car in November. As far as I know, they are the original alloys for the car. I spent £200 getting them tidied up just before I got the car. I've never had any serious 'fun' with the car, i.e. hard cornering etc, for weeks. I didn't have a jack in the car, so called the RAC out and the chap said that in 19 years, he'd never seen that happen. I have absolutely no idea how this happened, but I am very, very angry and have lost all confidence in the car. It is not worth thinking about what would have happened if I was doing 70 down the motorway. As it was my 4 year old daughter got a big fright and took some consoling. The car's now sitting in my drive with a rather unattractive spacesaver wheel on and I'm using my Father-in-law's car. I just don't want to drive the Scoob. Needless to say, I'll be right onto the dealer on Monday morning. Obviously it's not their fault, but this has to be a problem with the wheel and I'll want the other three thoroughly checked. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
  10. Oops![:$] I forgot about that! Standard, apart from an H&S back box, courtesey of Russ at Eden.[]
  11. Having been lucky enough to win the £100 voucher for Halleys of Milngavie at Peter's meal and raffle night, I'm wondering what I could spend it on. I've a bog standard '99 Wagon (image below). I did fancy mudflaps, but noticed they are £175 a pair. Wow!! Unfortunately, as I'm still out of work (keep looking at Corsa's 'job vacancy' thread!), I can't really put any more money to it. I'd be quite happy if I just got a nice Scooby jacket and a couple of keyrings etc, but I thought I'd ask your opinions.
  12. Well done Peter! Just got the bums rush for a job I had an interview for, so sitting here feeling all sorry for myself and now found out I've got £100 to spend on my motor, courtesey of Halleys of Milngavie. YIPPEEEEE!!!![][][][]
  13. Glad to see you back in, what has to be said is a cracking motor. A lot nicer than your last one (which pains me to say that, being a wagon owner!) If Russ sold you it, you know it's a good motor and you've not paid over the odds.[]
  14. I feel for you m8. I had exactly the same decision to make last year for my German Shepherd. Felt hellish. At least Sam's in a better place now and not suffering.
  15. Not just four cars, but 10 peeps as well![] Nice to see Russ and family there. Hopefully be a good year for the Fife group. Forth Bridge idea sounds very exciting, and a treasure hunt is always good for a laugh. Just needs a bit more members at the meets!
  16. Brilliant idea. Reckon we shouldn't have difficulty in getting numbers for this.
  17. If you want Ian, I'm happy to do a straight swap if you want your old motor back. I'll just turn the radio up to mask the noises![]
  18. Although having the most nippy advert on the telly, confused.com did it for me. £438. If I was you, I'd just insure it yourself and get hubby up Kinross auctions and get a cheap banger for him until he learns to behave!![]
  19. Very good effort for a first time.....and a very, very nice car.[]
  20. Yes Yes Yes. They are luvurly![]
  21. Absolutely delighted for you Sharon. Really am. WELL DONE!! Hope it's my turn next![]
  22. Just noticed that in the local paper as well. My vote would be for the Bankhead Gate, just off the A92. Nice and easy to find for any West Fife visitors.
  23. As a wise man once said....'The two best things to come out of Glasgow are Billy Connolly and the M 8'! Lol. Only jesting.[] Mrs. NightOwl is always saying they have the best shops in Glasgow, so why not take her there, give her an open cheque book and she'll be well grateful![]
  24. 70 mins does seem a bl***y long time if they weren't seriously considering you. Also, I drove my cousin down to Mitsubishi's place down at Cirencester for a second interview for a job. ALL the way home (and it's a long drive!!) he was mumping and moaning because he forgot to ask about salary and insisted that if they hadn't mentioned it, that meant they weren't interested. 4 days later they offered him the job and he's now down there having a ball. Fingers crossed Sharon. I'm checking the Forum every couple of hours to see if there's any word!!![]
