Malpas Road headed toward the M4/Newport yesterday afternoon. 1530ish

I DD also toe and heeling at the same time. Even my mum drives like it. Dad was always teaching me as a youngster. The only thing with toe and heel is that the title is misleading as you don't have your toe on one pedal and the heel on another. It's more a case of rocking your foot across the accelerator pedal. Ive found this to be a bit tricky on the scoob as the pedal gaps are far from ideal. I think this is why STI sell the pedal kits. If you look there is actually a flared piece at the bottom left. Designed with the above in mind. The reasons I use these methods are pretty straight forward. Matching engine and road speed so the car doesn't become unbalanced during down change. Also less stress on components. ie gearbox mounts, bushes etc etc. Oh and I like the sound of a revving engine []

As of five minutes ago. Drove to Cardiff this morning and then came straight back as I heard on the radio we were due 15 Inches in the Brecon Beacons area. Oh and the roads were full of 20 MPH idiots. Get AWD and winter tyres []

Thanks to all of you who have expressed their condolences. Let me first apologoise for not posting sooner. I'm still at my Dad's house in pot noodle country. No Tinterweb connection. Kev,thoughts out to you at this time also matey. I find thinking of all the good times makes me smile. Also taking Dad's WRX Wagon over the Brecon Beacons was a nice touch. The first few nights were tough but Dad had a great send off on the day of his service. With 500 quid put behind the bar of his local,of which i attempted to make a conciderable dent. A hangover that would have killed a civvie was to greet me the following morning. Again thanks all. Just goes to show this isn't a community it's an extended family Blown away, Aston

Just to keep you all posted. Dad really isn't good now. They have moved him to Brecon Hospital. I can say almost for a fact he ain't coming out. It's a game of keeping him comfortable now. Things are real tough for me (not to mention him) right now so I may not be on too much in the foreseeable future. I am In Germany for 4 weeks then In the UK from there on. (Unless I have to return for the obvious [] ) Hope to keep online for as long as possible before my move, but I can't promise anything. Likely to be down to calibration of the pump I would say matey. Could also be that If your car was sloped toward the filler whilst filling, leaving air pockets on the opposite side of the tank. I've done exactly the same as you and managed 59L after pushing mine onto the forecourt. I just can' help but play the "fuel light bingo" I love it!!!
