About mark875

  1. Agree with all of the above. I get all the comments too...mid life crisis car, penis extension, boy racer...etc, etc. I don't care as I know that I have a very nice car to drive, it handles like a dream and will embarass a lot of more expensive "sports" cars both in the twisties and on the straights. Each to their own and all that!
  2. With scoobs it is simple mate...no tracker = no insurance in 99.9% of the cases. Personally, I would get some more mileage under your belt in lesser cars first then graduate to a scoob when you are older and more mature. I have wanted a "posh fast car" since I was your age. I am 34 now and have had my scoob for nearly 2 years. All things come to those who wait.
  3. I'm the one that left the Army Craig...I am now officially EX-REME !! And yes, the fuel prices are scary Stu..I now have a K plate escort diesel to troll around in and the scoob is for playtime only.
  4. How can I subscribe to this without using paypal? I have not got a paypal account as I got fleeced through it a while back and now refuse to have anything to do with it.
  5. Morning Stu...raining here. I am officialy a civy now...it's great.
  6. Hi Stu. Now officially the Managing Director of Gas Mark 9 Ltd. Things going great and order book is filling up so fast I won't have time to shit after august. I know what you mean about the pension..with your time to do it makes sense to stick it out, but as you know, I had another 5 years of that crap to put up with and it really wasn't a viable option. One bit of advice mate, I am sure you have a handle on things, but start getting your resettlement sorted NOW. I only had 8 months to sort all of mine after i came back from Iraq and it wasn't long enough mate. I got it all done, but timings were tight and I was very stressed. 6 P's mate....you know it makes sense.
  7. Hi Stu..how's tricks me old war dog ? I am a Mr in 4 weeks time mate...Just set my new company up and have landed a nice 5 month contract straight from the word go...best move I made handing my notice in mate...
  8. no worries mate. I have had them on the car for about 14 or 15 months. The swrt.com on the scoop has gone white and a few others are starting to fade out. Hopefully the paint will not have faded too much but I am booking a full valet for the day after the stickers come off so the paintwork correction that I will be having done should get rid of any anomolies. I'll let you know how it goes mate.
  9. Thanks mate. Not be like that for much longer, it's going stealth stylee as a few of the stickers are fading rather badly and I have had my fun with them...time for the clean look now1
  10. That was me mate [] on my way to Bury St Edmunds for what turned out to be a wasted day..ho hum
  11. If I remember correctly mate, he is in Canada at the moment..think he is due back soon though.
  12. I have used Tarox, EBC redstuff and am currently running EBC yellowstuff pads. These are by far the best I have used. Good from cold, outstanding when warmed.
  13. Spotted a nice dark blue 51 plate bugeye with SIDC sticker in rear window and SIDC tax disc holder. Second time I have seen you there mate. I drive a very loud MY03 STI with the full rally graphics...don't know if you have seen it there before. Drop me a line on here or www.surreyscoobies.co.uk and we might even hook up for a game sometime. cheers and happy golfing []
  14. I have become paranoid since I fitted my flaps...had heard horror stories of people ripping them off and/or pulling the bumper itself off and now don't go anywhere near any kerbs. I also park well short of the kerb when "nose in" due to the front splitter I have fitted. All said and done, I did kerb one of my nice new shiny pff7's not long after I got them..that annoyed me
