hmmm been using zymol for ages now vintage is my favourite as it lasts for ages once applied but have heard good things about dodo juice might try some on the wifes car!

my god is that still doing the rounds when i used to go up to i.m on courses they were all laughing about that procedure and how it gets you an extra 20bhp needless to say it doesn't work, the guys in training school will tell you all the ins and outs of why and what not but all it's good for is getting your brakes hot!! iain is correct just go out and vary your driving it learns within a few miles all it's ignition timing and curve so if your only doing a couple of miles a day it's probably still on choke! do a reset and go for a blast!

it's odd like you say ian but hopefully fingers crossed and all that it is just that matrix, it may well have been leaking for a while before it was noticed which is why it got such a big airlock. anyway it's sorted now

excellent result! the only worrying thing is where the airlock came from? quite possibly from the leaking matrix which i think is a dash out job on the early cars, have you bypassed the matrix so he can drive it without losing any water?

i was contributing it's just some people don't like the fact that there could be another reason that the problem has occured other than the reason they posted.

right i got to say you lot are getting very boring now i thought this was a forum dedicated to subarus so can we get back to the original problem please. however if you feel you still want to act like children by posting pics of what you think i look like even though you obviously know i don't look like that then carry on if it pleases you but it just goes to show the mentality of some people on here. i thought this forum was a bit more grown up than the likes of scoobynet with people who seem to take great enjoyment in having a go at anyone and every one.

nothing wrong with checking out profiles but i didn't say there was it was craigy who thinks checking them out is stalking! and i do know you ian and i know what you do for a job but that doesn't make you the be all and end all of subaru gurus, you may be able to change the engine on a plane quicker than me and i will hold my hands up and say well done but you need to learn to listen to another point of view about a problem. as soon as someone puts up a view thats different or doesn't agree with your suggestions your goon squad jump in and start the mud throwing and you get all defensive and a***y with them, your view isn't always the correct one just as mine isn't yet you seem to think yours is, i quite like it when we get going about a problem and have different views on it as i admit you do talk more sense than most on here.
