  1. errr i'm 43 and left home at 17 so haven't been living in daddys pocket for quite a while so
  2. you lot still moaning your like a bunch of old women! i do drive a subaru a 330s by the way
  3. ooooooooooo that sounds like a threat!
  4. well iain as long as your not working on my car then i will sleep tight
  5. the thing is it wouldn't matter to me as i don't need to work, i work because i like the cars i work on and they are not all subarus either if that gives you any more ideas. unfortunatly it's not ripspeed either thats for boy racers like you pembswrx i deal with bigboys cars not tonka toys!!
  6. and you ought to be in bed as well stu
  7. i dare you to google the words "paint with the same brush" go on somebody do it it's as normal as the way you weird lot say it with the word tar
  8. you keep thinking that iain i'll sleep alright at night knowing i'm not putting hardworking souls with families out of a job and on to the street because i thought i was helping.
  9. ahem "The idea behind it is that two individuals who have been liberally daubed or painted with the same tar brush" i don't work in a dealership but i used to i now work for a tuner/specialist like i said where i'm from we say painted, another thing you just can't understand iain that you are not right all the time and neither is the internet!
  10. depends what part of the country you are from, where i am from they say paint so there!!
  11. so your another one then that paints all dealers with the same brush not surprised just seen your age! when you have grown some big boy hair then you can start with the insults now go and sit in the naughty boy corner!!!
  12. you lot are the worst! it's that attitude that because you work on an aeroplane you have to be the best when it infact means nothing really. you all keep reminding people of that fact and most of the time you lot are far from correct. as i have your permission then i will point this thread out to them and i know they are going to be very interested in it
  13. no low blow it's called reality, so you kill someone because of lack of knowledge or you just forgot to tighten something up you think their other half is going to say "no worrys mate it could of happened to anyone" i don't think so they will be after some sort of recourse how naive are you
  14. good for you then any idiot can change a clutch it's not hard especially on a subaru motor factors are cheap and you end up paying twice, once for the cheap knock off part and then for the genuine part from a dealer. if you went to the dealer in the first place the parts not that dear. 2 yrs down the road the bearing breaks or a finger breaks in the pressure plate do you think your motor factors place is going to want to know they will say "no warranty mate" where as a genuine bit is still covered but hey you know best don't you.
  15. so you do a job on a car and something goes wrong and the car has an accident killing the family i take it your insured to cover this because a garage is. yes garages are expensive and main dealers a bit more as well but there are reasons why, theres the training the techs have to do that has to be paid for oh but wait you don't have any do you. theres the diagnostic stuff they have to buy but wait you seem to think that you know everything and don't need this. theres the back up of the franchise but wait yet again you seem to think you don't need any back up. i'll point this thread out to them tomorrow and see what they make of it if their ok then i'll apologise if their not then you apologise!!
  16. labour sales is a big part of a garages income, think about it
  17. thought you might do that so i kept it clean for you iain you know that everyone is going to say "no iain we do not see it like that" don't you.
  18. just carrying on from what hairydj posted about your suppliers so how can a continuation of a previous thread be me taking it off topic?
  19. im not sure his suppliers would see it like that if they knew how much work he was taking from them!
  20. depends on if he values his warranty or not, if your out of warranty then go for it but if not then stick with a genuine ppp kit. on 06my or thereabouts onwards dealers can pull an id no. from the ecu which is specific to the oe map. if the ecu is remapped then this id no. changes, so if a warranty claim does arise subaru japan can ask for the no. although this would be rare and if it doesn't match what they have on their files then they void the warranty. once i'm out of warranty on the 330s it's getting remapped and rebuilt for big power thats if i have it that long i don't seem to keep cars that long!
  21. hmmm been using zymol for ages now vintage is my favourite as it lasts for ages once applied but have heard good things about dodo juice might try some on the wifes car!
  22. my god is that still doing the rounds when i used to go up to i.m on courses they were all laughing about that procedure and how it gets you an extra 20bhp needless to say it doesn't work, the guys in training school will tell you all the ins and outs of why and what not but all it's good for is getting your brakes hot!! iain is correct just go out and vary your driving it learns within a few miles all it's ignition timing and curve so if your only doing a couple of miles a day it's probably still on choke! do a reset and go for a blast!
