  1. Buy a Front mount instead
  2. ..and does sir have any to sell ? ---john---
  3. Nice and secure, nothing to worry about, unless Dtabbit is a Ninja []
  4. I'm sure the car's are nice and smooth, however if it's struggling to pull a Mini, it's going to baulk at dragging my Impreza from one end of the country to the other [:'(] On the other hand.... anyone tried a 3.0R ? [] ---john---
  5. Would 40ltrs in a couple of Jerry cans help ?
  6. I used to get surge on a whisker over half a tank, you really need to try harder Callum []
  7. Hmmm, I was just about to buy a new legacy for the very purpose of towing my Impreza, might need a re-think. ---john---
  8. I noticed from the pics that both cars had 'leccy windies, still think hers will be lighter than yours, though I think there wont be enough tolerance in the weigh bridge too tell the differance Remember Imy, if he doesn't have the removable bits in, then neither should you....... spare wheel etc, after all Gramt considers that 'hard core lightened'
  9. My answer would have to be "Stop being a pimp and leave it as it is" That weight is not going to lower your car even vaguely like the drop you have quoted !!
  10. Sounds like fun this, I'll stick a tenner in the fund regardless of outcome, but my money would be on the the Lady as Grant as only removed some girly lightweight stuff (it's for a good cause). Weigh bridges typically have a 20KG tolerance so be carefull Just for info, Andy easily has the lightest car in Ecosse. I would think mine would come in second, unless anyone has been on a serious diet and has kept quite about it, I reckon it is currently 1015kg
  11. I'm competing, so 'technically' you'll be joining me
  12. Now I'm a happy bunny, nothing worse than feeling left out [] Can't join you anyway, I'll need to be there a good bit earlier than you lot. Just wanted to feel wanted [] ---john---
  13. I didn't even get a PM, did you have the Weegie filter on ? ---john---
  14. I like that Grant, same idea, different implementation. Dave, yes same as Mikee's. Knockhill unlikely John, Kames tomorrow, Fintray next weekend, Brownie points in negative equity [] Rab, sorry, tired and grumpy the other night. ---john---
  15. Andy's car is set to post new 'goals', a tiny last bit of reliability is, I believe, currently being dialed in. Amazing that it's coming down to metalurgy That'll be Mr Forrest rumbling the fact that my previous best published time at 1/4 mile was on my datalogger while he was mapping (11.16) quite accurate you'd have to agree though. ---john---
  16. Thanks Stephen, Cheers Grant would like to see a pic of yours to see how it compares, these (are/will) be made here. Quite enjoyed TOTB, made a nice change. Enjoyed whupping some seriously trick kit on the handling circuit, but some of the straightline cars are awesome for what they are made for, Andy, of course topping the lot in the performance stakes. ---john---
  17. Thank you for the kind comments, Rab (been watching your posts, when you learn to Spell subaru come and critisize, Z1000, but then what would you know [:|] ) it's (very) proffessionally made. I'm 'very' pleased with it, second Scottish scooby to do a 10sec 1/4 mile, on the day I fitted it. (not that I'm a fan of drag racing, but most of you seem to be), Fibreglass this one, as I tend to compete and therefore bend things, can be made from carbon though ---john---
  18. Don't know what Grant's looks like, this one's faster though !! [] is there an online pic to look at while I'm doing this ?
  19. Sorry, didn't mean to make the post sinister, New bonnet, that's all, but one that works right with a FMIC, rather than hampering it. (Oh did I mention it's light ?) ---john---
  20. How many of us have front mount intercoolers ? Most of the serious cars in Ecosse from what I see recently. Last weekend I picked up the very thing to set it off right, and make it work right. Reducing the air pressure behind the Rads (rather than increasing with a bonnet scoop), getting the airflow throught the intercooler and Rad. And it looks great....pics to follow. ---john---
