  1. I phoned them today to see if they were open & I also asked if they were having a promotional day - the woman said definitely, in the next two weeks, but they hadn't set a date yet. Magic! better go oot and empty the tank then[][]
  2. Greetings Willie! Seen your car around mate but i'm normally in my C1[:$] when going to work in Falkirk(Cooncil). otherwise would wave. Sometimes take my scoob to work so when I am I'll be sure to wave[] Pics of your wagon taken @ Lochlands industrial estate per chance[] Cheers Gus
  3. A keep missing oot[] now that Whitburn has re-opened then hopefully they will have a day soon[]
  4. Oi stop fishing for the ole classic newage thang..................I aint biting [] Spooks ach go on,go on,go on.[] []
  5. Not without spending a few bob! Classics are a far better handling car IMHO[] I personally would advise getting either Prodrive or Tein lowering springs fitted as a starting point. Speak to either your local dealer for the Prodrive setup or Hypertech or Greers for the Tein ones. I'd also recommend whiteline front n rear drop links (speak to Cusco kid on here for good prices) and front n rear strut braces and a decent geometry setting ie Prodrive or Fast Rd. That will helps things a good bit. After that get the other Whiteline goodies ie front n rear arb, anti lift and steering rack bushes. again speak to Cusco Kid for good prices. Once you have done all that it might just be as good as a classic[] But seriously, the above should help you get what your looking for. Gus
  6. would totally agree there. I've just renewed my Insurance with Keith Michaels and unlike Admiral who I was with for the last 3 years they actually cover your mods on a "like 4 like" basis rather than just note that you have them. Oh.... and they insured it for £170 less a year too without a tracker[Y]
  7. Yokohama Parada would get my vote every time[Y] or Toyo T1R's
  8. I take it that was on Knockhill or at Crail[] might be chipped already[Y] or just the speed limiter removed. easiest way to check is to remove the ecu from the footwell and remove the cover(four philips screws) and see if there is a chip in the bottom right hand corner of the ECU and that the J1 resistor has been cut. If there is then your sorted[Y] Gus
  9. 112 mph! then WTF[:S]
  10. Nope, not always but you would know it if you got to the limit as it cuts fuel NOT GOOD! also, the Jap cars are set to run on 100 ron fuel so you should ideally be running your car on Vpower and octane boost. With the chip it removes the need for the octane boost as its mapped for UK fuel. I've Pm'd you details of the scoobyecu. Gus
  11. As Dipsy says in the passenger footwell. The Chip will probably do more good than harm to an Imported pre 96 car tbh. as it remaps the car for UK fuel, removes the speed limiter (ie no more dangerous fuel cut) smoother turbo spool etc.... I'll pm you the full details of what it does mate as I have the info from Paul here. Gus
  12. A Big Thank You To Gus.... [Y] Met up earlier today... Nice guy... Shame about the miserable weather... [um] Phil, good to meet you too mate![Y] hope the MAF does the job. Keep me informed []
  13. In the cars upto a 96 there is a spare socket in the existing ECU which allows you to plug in a chip so its a matter of plugging/possibly soldering one in if its a sealed connector, cutting a resistor out and after 30mins (if you want to wait) or performing an ECU reset (if you canny wait 30mins) off ya go[au] Just PM me when you want one.[Y] Gus
  14. £150 from me [] I've got one fitted to my Sti 555 and got one for Steve (Z1000) too. Its the "proper" fujitsu chip which if you can even get one are even £200 on fleepit, As steve mentioned the Scoobyecu is mapped for full decat and induction kit. I'm running a TSL system and Apexi Power induction kit and it runs a treat.[] Let me know if you want a chip and I'll get one for ya.[] So, whoever telt yeah it canny be chipped is talking bollox! Gus
  15. Phil, I've got a spare MAF for a pre 96 car sitting here mate. I'm up in Aiberdeen this weekend so if you want me to bring it with me we can try it and see. £20 and its yours[] I'll PM you my mobile number and can prob meet you Bridge of Dee or somewhere in that area Sunday. Gus

  24. I've tried most of the "recommended " tyres for the scoob over the years and cant see by the Yoko Parada spec 2's ( thats why I'm running them again on the 555[]) Had the Avons on my MGZT a few years back and tbh they were OK in the dry but utter gash in the wet. Gus
