Not without spending a few bob! Classics are a far better handling car IMHO[]
I personally would advise getting either Prodrive or Tein lowering springs fitted as a starting point. Speak to either your local dealer for the Prodrive setup or Hypertech or Greers for the Tein ones. I'd also recommend whiteline front n rear drop links (speak to Cusco kid on here for good prices) and front n rear strut braces and a decent geometry setting ie Prodrive or Fast Rd. That will helps things a good bit.
After that get the other Whiteline goodies ie front n rear arb, anti lift and steering rack bushes. again speak to Cusco Kid for good prices.
Once you have done all that it might just be as good as a classic[]
But seriously, the above should help you get what your looking for.
