Just been oot fur another wee blast and it only seems to happen above 4000-4500rpm [:S] Pulls beautifully up to that [] and once it gets past the "blip" it pulls even harder[*-)]

Kit, get some Daisy Duke airhorns mate[] You can get replacements from most motor factors and are a piece of..... to replace/fit! Gus

Right got the Apexi on and the Scoobyecu on and its pulling like a steam train( the Apexi sounds fackin mental)[Y] (canny wait to get the DP fitted now). HOWEVER, I still have a flat spot/hesitation on occasions and had one or two misfires whilst pushing it on whilst out for its first wee blast. Had the problem (now and again) before the upgrades but its more noticeable(regular) now.[:'(] Is the MAF fecked or what else could it be? coilpacks? Plugs were done less than 500 miles ago and timing belt etc...has been changed at the same time No cel light activated btw. Gus

Cheers Mark[Y], job done (the instructions with the chip are pretty good for a change!!!) and they even showed a wee diagram of the resistor to be removed, and which one not to be removed as obviously a few folk have cut the L1 by mistake. doh!!! Cheers Gus

Fitting am Apexi on mine Iain but thats along with the ScoobyECU remap. The scoobs are BAD if you dont get it mapped @ the same time. Gus

Johnny it is a chip within a carrier (socket) setup[Y] . Thats what was supplied by Scoobyecu so I'll be doing that incase I "take it oot" in the future. Who fitted your one ? just incase tomorrow doesnt work out[:S] Thanks for the info matey[] Gus

Folks, got the existing ecu out of the car to put the scoobyecu chip in to find that my ecu mother board has the solder type chip rather than the "plug and play"[:'(] anyone know of a company or individual in Central Scotland who would solder for me???? Gus
