  1. Saw one in Canada on display in a shopping Mall and STILL think it looks like a Volvo
  2. Should fit just fine as the newage fitment is the same across the range. Or...........you could wait until next week
  3. Well not being able too stay away from Subarus for 3 weeks I went to the local stealers here in Nova Scotia (Dexters) and they have the new cars in SALOON form Looks like they are getting something we aint. Have too say tho it looks pretty bland in saloon compared to previous versions Canny wait for a wee test drive of the new STi tho too see what its really like
  4. Frank, Have a word with Dougie Croft @ MRD in Bathgate or Craig @ Skids in Falkirk. Both will advise on suitable alarm systems Gus
  5. Greetings from across the pond -10 and snowy/sunny here in Nova Scotia. Just thought I'd make a wee visit Frank, remember Paul can also make you up the 100cell sportcat DP for a VERY reasonable price Most DP's are in 3" pipework but will narrow to 2.5" at the flange if your running a 2.5" system or remain @ 3" all the way thru if you are running the 3" system. Anyhoo, Off out sledging noo
  6. Paul, last post before I head for the Airport! tbh I think your BIGGEST problem with the car is running 19's. 18's can be bad enough for torque steer problems 19's with VERY low profile tyres would cause much of your problems IMHO. Best thing to do would be get a lone of some standard 17's for a few days and see if there is a difference. I think you will notice it right away Over and out!
  7. Cheers Kit
  8. thanks for the comments positive and negative guys ! St3ph3n, to answer or discuss your comments... tbh one of the purposes for the Leggy is towing a horse trailer (since the good old Saab went to the big scrap yard in the sky) as well as a bit of fun for me, taking the dog out, getting the bikes into and possibly towing a speedboat in the summer something "a bit turbo" was out of the question overall £'s wise. The sale of the forester had to buy 2 cars. Another HUGE factor was the very very cheap price for a 2001 car with 54k and FSH (and all the toys) that I bought it for, was an opportunity I grabbed with both hands. The 2.5 NA is actually very very capable and other than possibly an Audi A4 estate (which would have been well out of the budget) is by far one of the best estate cars on the market IMHO particular with the level of equipment v £'s purchase price and reliability factor( I have had one previously and put 80k miles on it in two years without fault) so had something to base the purchase on . Anyway, as you say if i'm happy who gives a Falkirk what others think Cheers Gus
  9. Fast Rd settings all the way ....and if your willing to travel Hypertech or Progrip in bonnybridge (Falkirk) both do an excellent job at a decent price £55 all in
  10. well, as many of you know my EVERY DAY car is a wee C1 and the Mrs has one too (Matchin book ends ) but i havent really come across the problem as tbh the C1 is so nippy folk get p'd off with being left behind at the lights, junctions and roundabouts etc.... although you do get folk trying to beat you to a slip rd off motorways etc.... as they think you are going to be slow. I just close the gap and really F**k them off But I'm sure for a lot of drivers on the Rd's this is sadly a real problem
