  1. Excellent News Cal Those heated seats on leather are a real bonus too Last two scoobs have had/have them
  2. Fusion blades are very popular in Canada. Particularly during the winter months and from what i saw are extremely effective. Welsho, you can get these blades from a few companies on ebay so nae need for Stealer prices ie £13-15 a pair.
  3. Mmmm! me likey. It looks far more aggressive like that. would be nice to see it all finished up
  4. you would therefore need a flat cap, tow a caravan and to be a member of the Caravan Club to drive it
  5. John, "tramlining" is a term used for exactly what you describe but can be, as I stated above, as much about the make, tread pattern and tyre wall reinforcement of a tyre you use than the wheels. BUT in addition, because the tyre profile is less on 19" wheels than on say 17's or 18's then there is MUCH more chance of this happening as there is very little give (flex) in the tyrewall and therefore when cornering the tyre cannot roll as easily which is mainly due to EXTRA reinforcement on larger diameter lower profile tyres and thus will feel like its stuck on a "tramline".
  6. 19's will certainly Tramline a LOT more than 18's but ALSO the type and make tyre can significantly affect this aswell. The OE spec tyres I had on the 17" Sti wheels were terrible for tramlining. Although, IMHO I would think you would notice a considerable difference on 17's or 18's with decent tyres in the handling department and a bit more give in general with the higher profile tyres which would come with 17's and 18's.
  7. You would need the car up on ramps and undo the retaining brackets (fairly close to the OS of the gearbox) to get them properly lubed.........but tbh without taking the brackets apart its worth just waiting (turning up the stereo) and getting Geo to put the whiteline bushes on as they come with the correct lube and are only £20ish for the pair (plus Geo's time ofcourse ) Gus
  8. Worn or dry steering rack bushes possibly Paul. Get Geo (Cusco kid) to replace these with Whiteline bushes and plenty of lube and hopefully all will be fine! Gus
  9. Paul, You could have the 16" wheels and tyres off the legacy for £80 (with VERY good Vredstein tyres) for using on the road, MOT etc... (they are the right fitment wheels and tyres for a classic) and keep your wheels and track tyres aside for Knockhill etc.... here is a wee pic of them.............and a BIG bit cheaper than a set of tyres
  10. Right, Dougie (the owner) at DP is 01292 610644 (tell him Gus from SIDC sent ya) Craig at Skidz (again, the owner) is 01324 630060 (tell him Gus with the Forester and Legacy sent you too )
  11. Nope wheels and tyres! might be up in price a wee bit but deffo no more than £650 including locking wheel nuts too............. and its fine on the 18's. Never had any problems going from 17's to 18's. Want Craigs and Dougies numbers to check? Gus PS your car is 5x100
  12. Wheelmania are also listing the wrong tyre size! Fudds You would use 225/40/18's
  13. Paul, Here are a few more pics I know two local suppliers who have got me these wheels for c.£600 Dougie at DP Motorsport in Ayr Craig at Skidz in Falkirk Want their numbers?
  14. maniaracing eh!! Well i'll have to charge them a fee now then Paul, I have plenty pics of the car with the wheels on so, if you want some more i'll post them up! Gus PS I can get you them cheaper than that!
