About Stu813

  1. Scoobyless for 8 weeks now so I've been on wearing the patches, chewing the gum and smoking 10 cigars a day... on the positive side I saved £300 on fuel this month alone, and it's got a descent set of speakers that don't rattle and distort as standard on the negative side I am around 90 ft lbs & 200bhp adrift so I am bored to tears... apart from that I miss just about everything
  2. As some of you know my MY02 Sti ppp was traded in last Saturday week as I move (temporarily) to something a little cheaper to run (diesel ) and I neglected to inform RAC Trackstar of the change. Phone call on the mobile last night, together with an urgent message on the answer phone at work that the car was being moved without the alarm being deactivated (I guess it was on a transporter at the time) I contacted the dealer concerned and it seems that the time lapse to the call to my mobile was less than 5 minutes and they had already phoned the office... now that seems like they are on the ball to me. Out of interest I pick my new Santa Fe tomorrow, so watch the slow lane on the A12 'cos I'll be there!
  3. That's it... the saddest day of my saga lout life! Saturday, December 5th at 3.30 pm I waved goodbye to my MY02 sti ppp... it was just that my bank manager wanted to resort to our original arrangement of me banking with him. Seriously, it had to go, I do too many miles and had to fund it all myself... so 30k miles in 10 months stacked up to something like £9k in running and depreciation costs - plus the cost of the loan on top of that. Add to that the knowledge that I have been followed a couple of times both in east London and in rural Essex todether with the fact that it would only be a matter of time before I was clocked at twice (plus) the legal limit and they took the licence away. So now I am reduced to the enigmonies of a loaner until the new one is ready - no more heading for the optimax pump but I will have the pleasure of wearing a five digit condom and filling up at the all black nozzle. The good news is that the number plate stays - so if you see a Hyundai (a pretend) 4x4, black with blacked out windows flashing you from the slow lane - take pity and don't leave me too much for dead! Take care all and keep the shiney side up and the greasey side down. Stu
  4. The other Saga lout is back on line... 53 and proud of it. Graham, can you get those little blue tablets on the cheap - nearly as dear as running a scooby! Are we the oldest???
  5. Saw the Italian Job 2 on a preview night with about 10 others... and IMHO I thought they did a good job on the remake. and I am talking about one of my four favourite films of all time here so I had gone prepared to be disappointed,
  6. << Ruined the sport >> how very true, and that prat ecclescake has just made it sooooooooooo boring! Cancel ship to shore radio, and al those pansy driver aids and put some real men behind the wheel again - men with some balls. IMHO either Jochim Rindt or Aarton Senna were the best ever F1 drivers. << in my opinion Valentino Rossis achievement was better real cahonies >> now we talking the truth...
  7. << I have the body of a God ................... Budda >> LOL @ Jon - you must be on the same diet as me, alcohol, junk food in the week (when I gotta cook) and pig out meals at the weekend... Never met this Gym bloke, but get plenty of exercise pushing my luck and jumping to conclusions! So does this mean I am fit?
  8. Wasn't me though I was in Leeds last Sat - lunch at Harvey Nicks no less... (visiting the g/f's daughter who is at Poly). Saw a well tasty silver classic parked by a Total(?) garage somewhere between Headingly and the town centre.
  9. I know this - just wondered if Phil would admit to it?
  10. OK Phil - must admit that I watched the Grand Prix whilst doing some ironing... () and have to admit it was not too boring upto half way - so I quess that is a sort of apology, but I still prefer bike racing
  11. Went to Aldi today and got tempted by a bottle of Sex on the Beach (I wish) and it is raaaaaaaather nice...
