Im thinking of not bothering with PPP now. I can get my 03STI insured for £827 with elephant, everyone else is about £1300 !!! (tesco was £1300 with PPP) As my mate said keep the £2500 and spend it on having fun (or petrol!)

Found out why it doesnt work, for some reason, when I type in the year as 2003 it wont allow prodrive............whats all that about !!! might have to ring them

Bill, I've had the same problem. Admiral would love to insure my Prodrive STI, I told them it wasn't yet and was just a standard STI, but I would have PPP fitted. They then got their knickers in a twist and started asking me if I was uprating the brakes ! I said that they sell it like that, straight from Subaru, made no difference, the shutters came right down !! On a plus I can get my standard STI for £700 !! Best so far for PPP £1300 Tesco.........serisously thinking of not bothering at all now.

Thanks everyone This PPP thing is just ridiculous !! Admiral wanted £1300 standard STI, (ooh scandalous) adding modds made no difference to the price? I've been trying to argue that it is a standard subaru package that you can buy off the shelf but that seems to be falling on deaf ears.............I hate insurance companies

Do I have to be over 30 with Liv and Vic ? I'm only 28, best quote for WRX STI so far was around £800 mark. Really want some extra ooomph so want PPP !

God am I having problems explaining this to insurers. Bell Direct and Elephant are saying "whoa there mr what's all that about, what does it do etc" before telling me to get on my bike. Anyone know any insurers who might be open to this or how on earth do I explain it to them !! Many thanks in advance !

cheers mate, my mate wants one and he told me it was very quick, I sort of disagreed. I tested in 28 degrees C and he did in 9 degrees !! must have made a huge difference, I'll let him know

When I test drove a WRX PPP in the summer I must admit that I thought the quoted 260 bhp was widely optimistic when I drove it back to back with a standard STI8. I've since heard that the WRX PPP is effected massively by air temperature, anyone else found that to be the case?
