  1. Thanks Doug Jazmac, Nice motor.........and its got a sunroof. Rare
  2. What happened with the turbo?? Did it break up?
  3. Dont take the engine out!! Thats just hard work. Pull the box out, it takes around an hour to do so. I.C removed Starter off D Pipe removed, and then its best to whip the rest of the system off as its just in the way and only takes a minute to pop it off the four rubbers Remove under trays Drain gearbox oil Rear prop off Front shafts off Gear linkage off Split plugs (electrics) Remove Box mounts Note that the front shafts wont come right off until you pull the box back a little as they need that little bit more room to slip off the splined outputs. Also, the thrust fork pivot needs to be removed before splitting as the thrust/ release bearing is held into the centre of the plate. To remove the pivot you need to remove the plug from the N/s of the bell housing (Alan socket required, 8 or 10mm, cant remember) then screw in a 6mm bolt and pull the pivot out of the box Its basic stuff, you wont have a problem
  4. Stuck Valve ?? Hmmmm << Valves 1,3,4 were reading approx 160psi and 2 was less than 55psi >> Take it you meant Cylinders??? Is there any "tapping" from No.1 cylinder?? Dont suppose you have had the rocker cover off and checked for a broken spring/bent valve/damaged rocker??? Whats the history of the car? Have you just bought it?? Had any timing belt work or recent engine/box work done?? I would be tempted to pull the rocker cover off and check the cam/rocker/valve movement. If your valve is stuck down a little then there will be other signs too. Ps, I wouldnt "rip the arse out of it" until more testing had been done
  5. P.s. I dont think you will get much for under £350. And the prices can go up and over the £1000 mark, but thats for serious bits of kit !!!!
  6. Clutch replacement on a Scooby is easy enough and under good conditions with a ramp etc its possible in around four hours. For the average punter its probably going to take a few more hours. If your looking at that kind of power then its probably better to spend the cash on a good un'. So no std parts there then Try pricing the likes of Helix, Lateral performance, Exedy and even Cusco Look at what each one can offer. Weigh them up against the Lbf/Bhp they can hold. Go for the one that will fit your needs
