Dont take the engine out!! Thats just hard work.
Pull the box out, it takes around an hour to do so.
I.C removed
Starter off
D Pipe removed, and then its best to whip the rest of the system off as its just in the way and only takes a minute to pop it off the four rubbers
Remove under trays
Drain gearbox oil
Rear prop off
Front shafts off
Gear linkage off
Split plugs (electrics)
Remove Box mounts
Note that the front shafts wont come right off until you pull the box back a little as they need that little bit more room to slip off the splined outputs.
Also, the thrust fork pivot needs to be removed before splitting as the thrust/ release bearing is held into the centre of the plate.
To remove the pivot you need to remove the plug from the N/s of the bell housing (Alan socket required, 8 or 10mm, cant remember) then screw in a 6mm bolt and pull the pivot out of the box
Its basic stuff, you wont have a problem
