I've just got back from AWD in Perth after having my rears fitted with whiteline drop links. They fitted front ones for me last year and totally sorted out the problems I was having with understeer then, due to the front drops being totally shot originals from ten years ago. My was MOT due this week and the rears have been needing done for a while.......so whiteline all round. I found the rears alot of fun on the way home I'd also add that Whiteline are quite hard to get a hold of in terms of a 6-8 weeks wait...........but Grant ordered in quite alot of Whiteline stock,so now would be a good time to call AWD if you don't want to wait. Also,I would say that putting them on the front is a must,I'd probably put them on the front first ,then the rears if on a budget.............IMO. Anyways, get them, should be the first mod u do to this car ,again,IMO. Enjoy

Great action, the Cosworth looked fast and the Diablo...............WHOW.....I've never seen one on track, what a noise and so happy to see the owner go for it out on track.Brill.Also the white GT3 driver did a 180 and was nearly hit side on,I bet his heart was in his mouth for a sec or two! Also, sorry for being so anti-social,I spotted a few familiar faces but was on the blower to my work most of the time ---- the computers decided to stop working after I left for Knock Hill. Thanks for the heads up,Jamie........I saw u but my brain was occupied with other things, sorry! So I'll say hello to u now

Good on you,I've been meaning to do this to the STi for nearly 2 years, but I never seem to find the time:-) Another Scoob by the water, there's a few of us now,I'll listen out for it. Adam, still got the Skyline?

A quick thanks to Grant and the boys at AWD for helping me out at short notice today............CHEERS.

Cheers for the replies guys. But,as the saloon lights don't fit the wagon I'm not holding out much hope of a bargain. Anyone else?
-
I've an MOT coming up soon and I've noticed that my rear N/S rear light has been damaged. My car is a STi 1 wagon. So I'm on the look out for a cheap replacement as I'm skint at the moment. I thought I'd ask if anyone has a spare kicking about that was gathering dust before I phone the usual suspects. Obviously, beer tokens will be exchanged for said items.

U could always try Grant at AWD,he has a carbon one on his car.

I'm also going up to the open day from Edinburgh, but not too early. Meet at the McDonalds @ the Forth Rd Bridge around 12pm........getting there for about 1pm.(I could make it a bit earlier if this is too late for u lot). So anyone else from Edinburgh that wants to go let me know!! Usually a good crack and some great cars...........

I have a JDM Sti wagon..it's 256 BHP as standard.......the wagons have a different gearing ratio to compensate for carrying extra load(weight)....which limits top speed to about 136 mph. I had to get a wagon as I need the space.I admit that they'll never have the same street cred, but as a result they can be bought cheeper, thus more car for less money(thats what i found anyway). Wagon's rule(although if I could afford it and didn't need the space I'd have the 22B at Eden Subaru any day)

C u all there..........................

Did anyone else just c this on the BBC news, the footage showed the police with a laser gun as several Scooby's went past............LMAO
-
I was told that if I put a poly bag over the alarm, that I could use a jet wash on it..........is this right? Or is the best way to get a rag and use some elbo grease?
-
The guy in the Fiat clearly took all his mods off after he was caught. The only thing restricting my JDM top speed is the gearbox!!But I guess getting caught at that speed it's worth taking off your mods and re-restricting the car................ Only my opinion as to what may or may not have happened.

My car was in a RTA early January(not my fault, old geezer ran a red).........just got it back...........I'm so happy that I went straight to AWD and now I'm getting some Eibach springs and a full de-tango(might as well since the car looks ok again and I've promised this to myself for 18 months) I was wondering how u guys find the Eibachs and what advice would you give in relation to letting the springs bed in. How long/many miles should I do on them to let them bed in before I get the geometry sorted? I've been a little(read alot)spoiled,......while my car was in the bodyshop I've been driving a BMW M3.....so my car felt like it was a bouncy castle(thus the springs) and it has more power too(thus the full de-cat).Very good cars those M3's.......... But I'm so happy to have that burble and phsssssssssst sound back Anyways,I'm a happy bunny today...........so rock on people.

Bored to death, got to work later tonight and dreaming of getting my car back from the bodyshop. It's taken nearly a month to sort out the insurance, but yesterday I recieved a letter from the "blind man's" insurance company saying all is well:-) They take full liability and with a bit of luck will get fixed within the next couple of weeks. Result, can't wait........ I find need for speed/burnout 3 on the PS2 a fine waste of time on a Sunday, although practicing crashing in Burnout 3,then going for a drive is dangerous..............:-)
