My name is Paul....My main passion in life after Eva Longorina has always been rallying. My choice of car has always reflected this although coming from Belfast originally insurance was always a real stumbling block. Been through all the novas from 1.2 to gsi, then had a run with Seat Ibiza 2.0 16V cupra sports....mmmmm Moved to Scotland and fulfilled my ambition of getting a scooby. First one was a 97 Uk Turbo 2000 which was fantastic.....Sold this last Novemeber and bought a 97 sti3 Jap Import...much higher spec and fantastic car....on the down side my wife drives it all week...gets some good looks from the kids in stirling as she rumbles past...so I only get to drive it at the weekend....boo hoo.... Hi all Just back home as well..... thanks to jamie for organising a great day...... Also thanks to all those behind me for not pushing to hard.. just a pity the section after the forest drive was so busy.. pity about the weather, but enjoyed it all the same.... Hi mate Everything should be fine... Dobbies isnt at the main stirling services roundabout. Its actually at the far side of stirling on the doune/callander road. Close to the the old Scottish Amicable building which is now Prudential I think... The garden centre was built on the site of the old army base out there.....

know what you mean Billy..... i've been so tempted by new age cars recently, because there are times the classic just feels so flimsy....... terrified to test drive one thought because like you I know it will feel so much better and safer... so I guess what I dont know wont hurt me.. eh.... cool graphics on the terzo by the way... mmmmmmm

Thanks for the reply guys....... So I take it I need the ECU reset to make the indicator go off. I was under the impression that the autospark guy was just going to correct the fault with the abs indicator not reset the entire ecu ??

Hi All Had a problem with the ABS light staying on in the car after I had a 4 wheel alignment done this week. Took it back to the garage but the guy is struggling to locate the 2 pin plug (according to the book labelled K & L) ...to reset the indicator. I take it this is the device which when plugged into gives you all the error codes for car faults I presumed it was underneath and to the left of the steering wheel....but cant find it...in the mass of other wires...any tips for where i can locate it 97 sti3 import............ however bonus.... did find a HKS Turbo Timer hidden up behind the dash (switched off) so I didnt even know it was there....yee haaaaaa can anyone help with an instruction manual for this...please.. cheers Paul

Hi guys just had the car in for a oil/filter change service and a 4 wheel alignment which have all been completed.....completely transformed the handling of the car...wohhhh what a difference....as Hi soob will agree the car was ever so slightly left...NOT ...it was miles out according to the readings I got back.. anyway... when driving home the ABS light came on and has stayed on ever since.....could it be anything simple before i go to the hassle of going back to the garage??? he in fairness is okay about taking it back to look at it.... just wanted if i could sort it without going back....

mmmm will try that then.... got plenty of flaking paint on lower front lip for more than a discreet sample.... cheers johnny sometimes go through chapelhall on the way to work..will look out for them..

hi brian not sure if they would still hold paint for a 97 car....thought i would be better with an aftermarket place or body shop..... will give it a go but..... cheers

Hi all Looking to pick up some touch up paint for my sti3..... using the various charts I have determined that it is code 53C which I believe is classed as 555blue. Anyone know anywhere in central belt preferably stirling,falkirk ditection where I can pick some of this up... cheers

nah i was christened with 555.... no wait oh damm it was 666...been on the wrong forum all this time... anyway i'd only have to change it back when jamie gives me his car for a fair price....aka £8000.....
