never mind that.... picked up the new Garmin I3 last week...... fantastic....small colour screen, voice commands, portable between the scoob and work car......downloaded speed cameras and speed limits onto it....its got everything.... and all for £169... in good old Argos, or PC World... trust me they are going like hot cakes....why spend £250+... eh....

A potential buyer has already made contact with me, but just in case thought I would post it up to see if there is any further interest in my car. A lot of you already know me and the car and will acknowledge its condition as good. so here goes: sti v3 import in 555 blue colour 49K miles Full years MOT This car is a fantastic example of an unmodified (not a lot left) sti All the usual sti requirements for the year Red top engine Carbon strut brace Climate Control, Elec Windows, Elec Mirrors, Rally Roof Vent Kenwood Double Din CD and Mini Disc Player Engine Unmodified apart from Blitz Panel Filter. HKS Turbo Timer Car was bought as a fresh import by myself a year ago from MVM imports, it has been well maintained, always ran on Optimax and Octane Booster. Never tracked or thrashed, actually hasn't been pushed at all. Never had the chance with a 3 year old in the back.......... So open to offers....I know that the car is worth around 6K so this is what I am after...... Does anyone know if disconnecting the battery will stop my toad alarm going of....wife cleared of with key and left car at work but alarm is going of and i believe wont reset until i put the key in the ignition which i dont have...her security men are going ape..at the noise.... shes not due back until tom with the key.......arghhh cant find the spare either...double arghhhh at home daughter with chicken pox..... cant get to car...how can i shut the alarm up when i do get there??

hi mate grant just after something a bit safer now...with the little one in the back...whilst i live and breath rallying, the idea of a 300bhp car with a lightweight body and no airbags aint for me anymore...after something thats still rapid but not quite as aggressive...... thats what im telling myself anyway...but im not giving my prime example away..will put a post up, but already had a couple of enquiries regarding it.... so if anyone is after an immaculate unmodified 555 blue sti3 car then give me a buzzz................

<< Having bought a MY98 with 82,000 miles three years ago (the equivalent of what you're looking at doing now) i'd leave it. I had a bit of bad luck and the bottom end went on mine at 96,000. To be fair the replacement (lower mileage) engine probably helped sell the car when the time came but i was lucky to get what i did for it with 116,000 showing. The thing is, no matter how great the service history is absolutely every non-serviceable part on the car is 89,000 miles old - bushes, springs struts, drop links, gearbox the lot. Although it will feeel fine to drive it will be soggier than a 30,000 mile equivalent as i found out. Unless it's dirt cheap i'd leave it. Bugeyes aren't rare and seem to be cheap enough due to the questionable styling. Hang on for something you don't need to question to see if you're making the right decision. >> thanks for the comments carl....wise words in the line above about hanging on...you've made me think mate...and if i have to think its probably not right.... thanks
