<< but hey what do i know. Grant >> Apparantly an unhealthy amount about these cars. Anyone else think we should start a quiz The Squirrel thread and see how much he really knows?
-
I should be heading along to this one too. Will everyone that going be signing up for the strip or just watching?

<< Wot exhaust u got on ur Type R Playsatan? Was sounding good >> Cheers Miss Scooby STI, I think its a Blitz system, was on the car when I got it. Certainly gets people attention. Shame the only compliments I'm getting are about the car and not my god like car control. Was going to ask you how your Type R handles out of the hairpin but you've got that fancy GEMS DCCD contoller don't you? Might have to invest in something like that myself to avoid any further embaressment. -
I should be there, as long as my gearbox is back in one piece by then. Only done it the once but managed a 12.9. Well chuffed.

<< Hope the Gearbox trouble aint too serious Playsatan Catch you next time Spooks >> Me too. You won't have to wait too long to catch up though, I'm still coming. Gonna cadge a lift with JonnyR6 after I've dropped it off at the garage.

Sorry guys, gonna have to pull out of this one due to gearbox problems. That and I thought I'd give you guys a chance this time.

<< Think the car you are reffering to belongs to Playsatan, mighty fast +loud. >> Yes, 'twas me. Would have been a damm site faster is I hadn't have been behind the wheel. Was my first time on the track but I'll defo be back for more. Some crackin cars on show today, just a shame we didn't get to run against those 2 ferraris and show them how its done. -

1. TheSquirrel555 2. JohnnyR6 3. Swiggi 4. corsa 5. Playsatan2 (If I can get my gearbox fixed before then or if a few burly blokes would be willing to give it a shove back off the rollers?) -
Newbie question - do you have to take your driving licience with you???
-
Alright mate, was up a Johnnyr6's at the weekend as he was doing a bit of work on the car and he a few dashboard panels off. I'm affraid that having seen it there's no way the knocklink is going to fit where I stuck mine, the clocks sit much further forward. If you're still looking for ideas check out Johns at the next meet, what he's done looks way better than mine.

That'd be me then. Its a t piece thats on the end on a length of braided hose to extend it out of the way of the alt. Because its a t piece you can keep the original presure sender and your warning light. The company that makes then is called Lemans and you can get them from LMA Motorsport, their number is 01234 268213. Have a look on scoobynet underthe Gauge thread in Group Buys, there's load of photos to give you an idea.
-
It'll ordered by what model of car you drive, i.e. all the new ages together and all the classics together. Something to do with them having different wheelbases and needing to adjust the rollers.

Just spotted the mileage in that photo Dougster, just the daft sort of thing I'd do.
-
Don't know if this is the same but on my old 106 gti the temp gauge showed the oil level when you turned the key to stage 2 not the pressure( as the engine is not running at this point ). After a few seconds it goes back to being a temp gauge. I'd double check in the owners manual if I were you as it might be diferent on your model. PS2

Great minds think alike Piccy

<< 2 ...... 6 x 9 inch Pioneer speakers --------- hoping to swap Playsatan these for his one day >> ?????????? What you talking about swapping? I said you could just have them. If you're passing the east end of Glasgow just pop in and take them away. Give me 10 mins warning tho to whip them out. Failing that I'll just bring them to the next meet.
-
Thats the place where I got mine done. They get really busy around Christmas tho so don't leave it too late.

<< Get a socket that doesnt quite fit over the nut, and then with the aid of a BIG hammer make it fit Then undo the nut with the socket. Disclaimer: I've never tried it so don't blame me lol >> I've heard of this method as well. If the nut is just too tight get a blow torch on it for a few minutes and it'll expand a little, then when it cools it'll be rock solid. Just make sure you don't want to use the socket again and don't burn your fingers. PS2

<< As for a race, I don't think I'd bother, it wouldn't much of a match against mine. >> Are you joking??? R6's can lap a track as fast as an R1 or Blade, faster on tighter circuits.
