  4. God damn ! It fired up GT4 last night and realised I still need to get through two full licenses phases before I can do this Must try harder ! I'm a firm believer that these games help real life car control Well done clut fav ! Expect the Squirrel to horse that time though I must invest in a decent wheels and punt the Madcatz sneider ! Bring it on gentlemen Cal p.s how daft am I ( i was hungover !) Just realised that anyone could put a red tick on ANY photo. Not doubting Dave's screen grab but in future put your a "thumbs up" in the piccy i.e place your mitt just to the side of the time
  5. Pete, Fog Covers ........ I'll have em'....... 1) do you take paypal ? 2) are you going to KH on Sat as we could hand them over then ? please PM me Cheers Cal
  6. Guys, Evo magazine has details of a GT4 competition in the latest issue (Nov 2005). All you have to do is load up GT and head over to the Licence section, you are looking for licence test 7 in the International A licence. Its an RUF Yellowbird around a section of Trial Mountain, post your fastest time and send proof (screen shot for example) to the following e-mail address: eds@evo.co.uk. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyone up for doing an SIDC version ? It would be fairer than the last one we ran.....Post piccies up with fastest time but for authenticity ( incase any cheeky blighter pinches a screen grab from elsewhere in an effort to drive The Squirrel into insomnia ) you'll need to put red tick in the corner of the jpeg ( right click and edit via Paintbrush) to prove it yours This thread will no doubt die but what the hey ! Cal
  7. Yeah 5th gear ain't Top gear but seeing the Aston get nailed round a decent track and not some lame flat airfield is more entertaining IMO. VBH is a wee minx ! Think I'll buy a Seat and sniff the seat after she departs the vehicle
  8. << maybe we should have a section for general and one for other? that was a quote 3 days ago by the author of this. >> I see your point but your post was more SN "muppets "stylee whereas this is more informative. That's not to say that yours wasn't funny ! My initial grumble was not about your post but the volume of posts that were like them ( & yes maybe we're all guilty)..... I'm just an auld phart so ignore me. Although in time we'll get what were after once the IT dudes have implemented their new platform . No need for further dissection & back on topic
  9. << BAH missed it! >> ADVANCE WARNING of this weeks episode - click me if you love the motion lotion
  10. Boyokasha has one which needs refurbushed for sale ? I think Dave from our work is buyng it though
  11. << Nothing! I like the sound of the scooby too much Gus >> Ahh so true.......I do lots of m'way driving which good for absorbing musica............but in town and on country roads the mute button gets treated like Garry McAllister after missing THAT penalty !! Good point though Gus - the boxer throb is KING of the urban canyons
  12. << Cal How fooookin Bored are you?!?!?! You got nothin better to do on a Saturday morning? Craig >> >> get up early enough and you too can conquer all traditional Saturday tasks before the lady is up
  13. Yes, I have heard that his magazine collections are somewhat abormal I think i need to plunder your living room guys ! Cal
  14. I'm trying my best to get out of moving out of my GLA flat that weekend but will catch you soon anyway as I need to use BHP's efficient services for some new Motul oil and a new bulb ( with fuse tapped in somewhere 0 for my Lamco gauge ( which i use a lot these days PM if need be as I'm trying to keep this thread informative..... Thanks Rusky ( and yes the stickies will be welcome in white for me ) Cal
  15. ( my track days thread got me thinking........) I have most of them from Torrents but have 3 originals ( two of which I have lent to my Scooby owning neighbour ) If you have never heard of BM or Hot Version then click for sustained pleasure...... These DVD's are like a Jap Version of Top Gear with ex/current touring car drivers at the wheels of new or highly modified Scoobs, EVO's, RX7's, Skylines etc etc but wihtout any lame padding or interviews. I cannot emphasise enough how good they are ! My personal favourite is this one for obvious reasons.......... I suspect the Squirrel may have a few of these ! there are always some on fleebay Cal
  16. I'm gonna take my brother & dad to Goodwood festival of Speed next year - if your into cars then it has to be done before you pop yer clogs.... I think me and Bing and the two co-piloting brothers are gonna attack the 'Ring next year too alhtough we better up-rate our brakes too.. I have been saying this for ages but I need to see Sabine in action and pay home to Gan San in his Spec C from the BOM DVD's ( essential possessions for Jap & Scooby fans) Your post gave me a chuckle Callum - my old boy was a Mini fanatic and always lusted after a Cossie Sapphire
  17. ( or MP3's ........) Not had one of these threads for a while..........my music taste is very varied but essentially mainstream please paste your music into the right "genre"...it will be a good thread if we keep it tidy ( I hope) I expect some contraversy in this thread as we're a pretty varied bunch of homosapiens ! Chillin' ( Off boost ) 1. David Gray - Life in Slow Motion ( new out) 2. James Blunt - Back to Bedlam ( distinctive voice) 3. Athlete - Tourist ( sooooo good ) 4. Zero 7 - Simple Things ( gets the ladies warmed up ) 5. Best of the Eagles ( for a summers day at Loch Lomond ) 6. ColdPlay - X&Y ( some sh1t-hot tracks in there ) 7. Snowpatrol 8. Best of Frank Sinatra ( the old crooner is good for the A90 @ 0430hrs) Shiftin' ( on boost ) - quick sample below...... 1. Leftfield - the first album 2. Oasis - Don't Believe The Truth ( guitar plus buried throttle =) 3. Dr Dre - 2001 ( but ditch the chavvy gangsta lean please boyz ) 4. BT : Brian Transeau - Flaming June was always a major fave when I huckled the (tastier) burds in Ibiza '95 ) 5. De'Lacy - Hideaway (Deep Dish Mix) - those in the know will love this toon alonf with BBE 7 days ( before it entered top 40 ) I have many more but have to go and wash the beast which hasn't seen a sponge for over 6 weeks Let's hear em........ Cheerz Cal
  18. For those who are baffled ( newbies etc) this may help although it doesn't show the up-pipe cat.......Brian maybe be correct but I thought it was just the STi's that came out of the factory with 2 cats ( I maybe wrong though ) Cal
  19. KH is ace but I'd like to sniff oot some new territory............... Cadwell Park is immense by the looks of it. Anyone done Oulton park. On the PS2 simulators doesn;'t count So who's done what ? Cal
  20. Brian - according to Andy F there is no point in doing the downpipe unless you whip out the up-pipe too at the same time ( you may as well while the downpipe is out ) The reason Bing can get away with it and still get good power is because he's running a TD05 which doesn't limit EGT's so much. The up-pipe cat may disintegrate into your Td04's blades if EGT's get too high. So by running a tad leaner with the Td05 you can run a higher boost........At present I'm richer than the Sultan of Brunei in high boost mode but it's safer for the car. Millers is essential for extended b-road blasts & track days on high boost with me just now because it's kinder on the engine being able to run a better quality fuel. There maybe the benefit of a few ponies but it's not the sole reason to add it. Andy also advises a STi8 intercooler but reckons the WRX one receives better cooling due to it's smaller dimensions. i.e a catch 22 ! He also reckons Motul oil is the daddio after running on his minted blobeye for a while and seeing minimal degradation of the oil Cal
  21. Dear Johnny, please check behind your left ear as I think you'll find " property of SIDC " embossed by Gods fair mitts ! Welcome back..............here's Johnny !!! ( a-la-Shining film) Cal
  22. Gutted ........ I'm moving outta my flat that weekend and have Tranent karting the day before ..... Cal
