  1. Not been able to reply for a while folks....... Cannot make Inverness as I have a wedding unfortunately Imy ! I know that god damn door needs sprayed but it doesn't really bother me - was like that when I bought it and silver is a bitch to colour match supposedly Did you fit the front-mount yourself? and did you run it before with the top-mount? I am having a problem keeping scoops on the car (seagulls 2- scoob 0) and fancy the idea of the losing the scoop completely but already feel the car is a tad 'weak' lower in the rev range and don't want to worsen the situation. Has the driving experience changed markedly? (My car is currently running approx 290/290 at the mo') It was fitted before I got it but I have an unusual spec ( JDM STi engine from a Bugeye mated to a WRX 5 speed box with uprated clutch)........the TD05-16G spools slighty later but it parties real hard high in up in the rev range. I kinda like the wait and then the huge kick in the erse tbh. Never fitted it myself but have splenty of how to guides if you need them. My last bugeye spooled very early on a pissy TD04 but run out of puff @ 5.5K. Great punch of out bends but not that quick after that. Cheers Cal
  2. Looks kinda stealthy don't you think ? Fits nice and great finish.....reminds me of Gumballs one he fitted a while back Last TMIC style scoop took "a hit for the team" on the KH straight & was forcibly removed by my goodself before it flew off of its own accord Pics http://calum-shand.fotopic.net/p57661272.html http://calum-shand.fotopic.net/p57661289.html Cheers Cal p.s good price & quick delivery too

  17. Cheers folks - currently considering coil-overs now given that this is my DKT ( Dedicated KH Toy)..............does anyone reckon they'll be too brutal on a B-Road though ? Any decent ones that you can recommend that are relatively inexpensive ? C_WRX - had about 60 mins of video but Yoiutube only permits 10 min clips. I was overtaken a few times by faster Evo's & some of th Exiges ( oh & DR MotorSport too ) w.r.t Hunting for Sport - I hate being out on track with nobody to play with ( safely !) - it's much more fun tightening up your game to try and pass folk. One thing that I need to bear in mind is how late I can brake. I was braking later & later at the hairpin and the brakes were still inspiring confidence - gain a lot of time that way. That's where I was making up a lot of ground on the Evo's. If only I had DCCD then I could engage in some hairpin showboating ! Cal
  18. Thats a scunner but a necessary evil I suppose - good luck wih the modified mitt
  19. It came on the back of a trailer - seemed to be driven by various people as I was able to tail them with ease under braking & on the corners Extremely fast nonetheless ! Who owns the white & silver Scoobies in the video ?
  20. I have uploaded some video now - cheers http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...=0#entry1258711 Cal
  21. Video Footage >> SIDC Track Day - 28th March 2009 Processed on an iMac using iMovie Sony TRV22E HandyCam with B-Hague Suction Mount in the rear Windscreen Plenty of footage chasing some silver & white Classic Scoobies - not entirely sure who the drivers were ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyiMA9cnZ1w use the "HQ" ( High Quality ) Option if your broadband connection plays ball Hope your enjoy the footage - comments on my driving encouraged & welcome - be gentle ! Cheers Cal ( lame suspension faction !)
  22. My short report 4 hours seemed to zip past but I had some awesome fun considering it was my first time out. Engine and brakes are superb but the standard suspension needs to go in the bin. I was all over the shop under hard acceleration post apex on occassion. Just does not feel planted enough despite the drop links & stiffer ARB. The brakes on the otherhand are 100% fade free ! Never had any dodgy moments with them. The 5 speed box was giving me grief at the hairpin as 2nd was high up the rev range by the exit of the hairpin meaning I had the snatch 3rd the minute I was in a straight line. Got some pretty decent footage chasing other Scoobies & it's gojng on Youtube just now Downers for me :- Pit Lane being closed means that the chances to exchange chat, battle tales and be more of a community dies a little... Barely spoke to a sole all day with a few exceptions. TMIC scoop decided that it might come off so I took it off as a precaution ( thanks to the Sti Pretender for help in holding the bonnet in the mental wind) Was good to get a chat in the Powmill Milk Bar at the end Footage to follow in due course. Thanks for all the piccies to date - much appreciated and great skills as always Cheers Cal p.s note to self - get decent suspension set-up !
  23. Mega day's track time.........editing footage just now but will fire up some comments later. Thanks to John S for organising as always !
  24. Nicely timed post - cheers ...........I shall tread with caution although the grip should be greatly improved = later braking. Bring on Saturday !
  25. Meant to add that I tried it @ stage 2 before
