  1. hi mate, welcome what part of essex?
  2. lol.... yeh, been up there a couple of times lately, canary wharf.. to the O2... south london... up to the wheel and back along the embankment to canary wharf again..... was side by side with another forester and that was it..... no subaru's...... (and i got caught in the zone, forgot to add me fozzy to the auto pay ) and i went up to elstree studios last week...not a single scoob anywhere, even on M25.... at least i showed the locals what me fozzy sounds like going through the various tunnels at just a touch more legaly than the limit.....
  3. blimey mate, you were one of the originals!...i remember you from the off. we have had conversations maybe a few year back when i was always on here and was always helpfull with any queries. i wish you all the luck mate in your next project or just life in general!.. i will add though.. sidc isnt the same as it was, i will pop in and out, nothing to do with the club, just think alot of peeps have moved on, shame really, may see you back one day eh? good luck, mark
  4. absolutly,.... i don't even know why it was on my tv when the other half watched in the lounge.... maybe just curious what sge screams about once in a while... nevermind..!!!
  5. yeh i see it, not sure about the number plate though or that he was 'legaly' driving it, certainly not so with the kid rolling around on back seat and no booster seat either,.... i was waiting to hear it, but i don't even think it showed it moving?......looked like a dodgy one to me!!!!!!.... if its one of phil's then the rear end was probably diferent from the front.
  6. sounds daft but did the scoob come with history?.... check reciepts, i know where every previous owner of my fozzy lives!!!... there must be a name,
  7. sounds like just how it was then...... carry on as normal guys !!! if its fitted then they can't fail it unless its not up to standards after sitting in yer shed for 11 months. just have to take for a blast before hand ....oh damn that means going a bit faster...
  8. yeh my99 uk turbo s, first thing i thought of while test driving was...(being as i'd been driving fords) was remember the indicators on right..... incase i looked stupid ect..ect... .... silly me.. kinda back fired
  9. yeh, i thought it was a subaru thing, change gear with left hand and signal with right! really ain't got a clue about why they changed, bl00dy confusing though and made me look a teet. controls are all subaru... albeit too much going on with them. headlamps on indicator too. never mind, i'll get used to mirror signal manouver....rather than manouver signal gear change lol
  10. i'll be honest though...when i test drove my forester with the dealer with me...approaching a small roundabout with cars coming from every lane.. he said go back around ... so.. went to signal right as per subaru controls...... wipers came on, missed me gear nearly hit a car..and s.hit meself... theres me giving it ..yeh i ve had scoobs before and all that.. now for some reason the forester had left handed indicators??? wipers on the right, he did addmit he thought it was different.... i bought it anyway..had to ..thought i broke it lol. ...the end mark
  11. i'm pretty sure they will all fit the same, you can do a face lift on older models by fitting newer parts so sure the the same year model will go, and dont recall the p1 being any different, it was just tuned and styled from 'new' not sure if they used ally panels though...someone may advise on this..
  12. looks nice mate, good price imho, you going to spend on it or keep it simples?, you may hear the injectors too, quite distingtive,
  13. welcome to the club mate, yep pics ...its the law lol.. enjoy scoobyship, its a great place..
  14. i had my uk classic for 4 years and thought the wiper washer had stopped working,.... forgot you had to push the button in......rather than pull toward you, took me a couple of weeks to relise. der
  15. before you spend any money....... not sure about your model but the classics have a nice little button.. parking lights, which it located on the steering shroud... dead centre in the eye line if you look at the top of the shroud.. hopfully subaru still fitted these to the newage.... did you do the interior?. could be your answer edited to add>>> scouk beat me to it lol......
  16. your rightmate, bonnet, headlights, grill, i done it my 1996 wagon, crystal light pack, and with the slightly different scoop and vents ...looked the muts nuts,
  17. one benefit i see emmediatly is ... you will have the very last of the classic scoobs on the road, so ...after say 8 years of getting it spot on and comfy too....you got the best of both!..classic were better imho. many many of the older ones are very tired now and have seen too many halfords branches. i couldn't tell you of the spec diference, uk mpdels have diferent to the imports, i prefer to get uk and add the fancy bits on which i did to my green wagon. enjoy and feel proud in driving probably one of last classics ! mark
  18. welcome mate, nice car ... i have a soft spot for green scoobs lol...
  19. hello mate, welcome to the club!.. my first scoob was a uk wagon, loved it, have pictures on here somewhere, had import wrx after a break from scoobs, then changed ...now got a forester!..... good luck with it, mileage imho isnt a problem if they are looked after, and yours looks like it has, where abouts in the country are you matey? if your local i have a spare set of those wheels that are going free, might need tyres though as they have been sitting up me yard for a while. anyway have fun and be safe lol... mark
  20. takes me back to 1992 when i used to do that to me mk2 escort, bit of wet and dry and away you go.
  21. thats bloody steap, obviously don't know your curcumstances, age, points ect... take it your've tried keith michaels?.... or go on auto trader.. but gary at KM just got me cheaper fully comp cover than anyone on the market.
  22. thats a cracking result, almost a perfect power curve, won't see much better than that, you'll know exactly how much bhp your getting when you look at your rev counter!!!... anything special with the engine?... or just a good engine and tune up? bet your chuffed
  23. looks real nice mate, think you were lucky no other damage was done, looks cosmeticly superb..... needs a wash though.. lol, bet you can't wait to get it back
  24. the headers alone will get you the burble, the rest of the system will enhance the sound, of course the less restrictions in the way will make it sound louder and more distingtive, i normaly go the straight through route with neat back box like the tsl group 'n', ......... so really up to you mate, if the scoobyclinic header bolts straight on to standard up-pipe/turbo then that'l do, you'll get yer burble.change the mid and/or rear sections for more distingtive burble, hope this helps, i can only talk of what i've had before, classics, so not sure if the hawk has a certain set up. mark,
  25. yeh, cost a few quid mind but it will sound lovely.....and shiney too
