I have been informed that esso,bp etc have been contacting service stations and informing them of a fuel boycott on wednesday,The word was that it may be the same as 5yrs ago. so "FUEL UP".unless any one has any other information

Mods are everything that was not standard on the car. Tyres are ok and brake pads as long as they are the correct size. The brakes would be non standard if you added brembos and drilled/grooved discs,if they were not origionally on the car. The tire size has to be the same ie:215/40/17,if you put on a 215/35/17 the overall circumferance would be shorter and knock your speedo out. A coachline is classed as a mod and so is adding a gearknob,stupid i know.Most insurers like adrian flux do not apply any load if declared,they only load on big mods and unlike other insurers offer like for like on all declared mods as do direct line.

The one in plains did a set of rsr khans for me and put them in my car without any packaging,when i got home the wheels were all marked and when i called to complain,the answer was to return them and pay more to have them repaired,also the finish is not that great.Use esp powder coating in glasgow,there no is in every free motor trader you pick up in all petrol fourcourts.The guy will spend forever trying to match it if it is an awkward coating like shadow chrome.

Ive been with every network available and this is my second 3G contract.The old lg phone had a piss poor reception but the new nokia 6680 on the network seems to be the dogs B****cks. Im on 750 mins for £35 monthly with half price line rental .Go to phones for you as all other companys offer you line rental by redemtion which is a bit of a con.Phones for you will give you the differance in cash on the spot,to buy a new mod.The best network has to be t-mobile but deals are hard to come by.GOOD LUCK.

I have a blob eye wagon and live in cb/airdrie and when passing other scoobie owners i generally acknowledge them,but i would be better forgetting it as the people i pass dont bother there arses and generally ignore me.Are there any decent owners?. It would be good to talk to some likeminded people in the area about the car,mods etc.

The law as yous say is no tint allowed at all on the front drivers and passengers window you can have a touring strip but the rule of thumb is no more than 3" or the window wipers do not encroach the area any more than 1".The pillar back can have any tint even 5%limo.All the previous cars ive had were limo tinted (the entire car). Its not the polis that have brought out these regs its the vehicle inspectorate ,i believe that give the regs for your mot.

How do you create a beam pattern on a headlight when your headlight does not have one ??

My insurance for the first time ive ever had a scooby was £640 from elephant.co.uk with some mods. The car does not require a tracker to be fitted but dont offer like 4 like on all mods.Adrian fluk will insure u for more dosh but offer like 4 like. Fully comp incl wife n xs £150.

Thanks.Today i called the sva,vehicle inspectorate and the traffic police. The outcome was that as long as the light is of the same brilliance as a 15w sidelight bulb then the sva would pass it. I have decided to buy a strip of leds and add them to above the fog light as a daytime running light and they are e marked so will pass an mot. I have some more useless info: There can b indicators on a car anywhere on the front as long as 400mm from outeredge andno more than 1500mm in height.the same for sidelights but indicators have a min height.

On a twin headlight conversion.Would adding an led as a sidelight bulb in the headlight be legal??

Does it not need to b seperate from the indicator? I can getby the beam pattern by buying metro headlight beam pattern changer you use for the eu,if turned upside down they are then suitable from a usa light to convert it to the uk beam pattern

I bought headlights on ebay,the add read 02-03 bug eye headlights. They are from america but there is no sidelight as required by uk law. Has anyone bought these and is there a way round it.

Your not wrong but ive had 36 cars since 1995 and the scoob is the most fun. lancer evos r fast but sore arse after 20 mins. Ive wanted a scood 4 years but the wife says no. I eventually said stuff it its not new but itl last a couple of years until the new shape due out soon price comes down.

How did u manage to look at the interior,youve got to spend your time watching the speedo cause there r that many gatsos. Do what i did,go out buy a scooby, sign the paperwork, so no going back and then tell the wife. run like hell n hide for a few days then who cares it will b your new friend soon
