About ScoobyG

  1. well done and all that jazz, but how did you get it on with such a small bird in the first place. dad or nothing, you country people are a little strange.
  2. need to get my new car tinted, is there anyone on the board that does a gaurenteed and proffessional job?
  3. just a quick note to say thanks chaps (and ladies) for all your advise, help and entertainment. i ended up selling the scoob to a scoob dealership for 150 more than i paid in january when it had 8,000 less miles on it. (!) we did a deal and i drove off with a tip tronic 2.4L 38k miles, 51 plate, black Fiat Stilo Abarth (sat nav, multi funct trip computers, cruise, parking radar, speed limiters, mp3, auto lights, auto wipers, full closure, elec seats with heating, 17's (215/45/17)) and a cheque for £3000 its a rolling computer basically. but i do miss the scoob, my brief but exciting affiar with subaru will be hard to beat with any of my future cars. i will definately be back and when i do, i will get a black spec C. keep up the subaru spirit people and drive carefully. regards Giles
  4. dude, just get it mot'd at scoobyclinic, they will sort out your problem
  5. << set it to download updates everyday at a specific time followed by a full sweep >> dude, i smell some serious paranoia here.
  6. dude, read on, that £19,000 doesnt look that attractive after all the taxes etc.. £27,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. a tinting specialist will remove the whole car for about £50-60 save spending £100 on a scratched window and get the pro's to deal with it.
  8. where is it??? whats the cost and how do we book???? cheers G
  9. Text i have emailed the seller to ask what performance gains could be achieved with this kit
  10. duct tape or not, i'd be her friend
  11. is there anyway (without external equiptment) to diagnose what fault has triggered my engine warning light, i assume that is directly associated with my recent full decat, which is being investigated tomorrow. i just in the mean time, is there any way of getting the car to show why it has triggered???
  12. So many answers, however none seem to have answered the poor chap?s questions, the same questions, I was asking two weeks ago. my 01 - 04 pipes you should be looking to remove. turbo up-pipe, this has a cat in it. turbo down-pipe, this has a cat in it centre cat, this obviously also has a cat in it. back box which also has one i believe. in the centre section there is a CEL sensor that monitors the quality of the gas, this must either be replaced with a cel fix unit to send the correct signal to the ecu even though the gases are not being catalysed, so that it doesnt come up with a warning light. i went and did the up, down and centre pipes at www.Scoobyclinic.co.uk, and i got a cel fix unit to go into the centre section (approx £40) got all the work done that day, drove out and the car was a god dam beast, it now sounds like a harrier warming up it engines. going through tunnels it is scary loud, i love it. HOWEVER, 100 miles of joy and noise making later the ECU light flicks on, i sh!t myself that i have gone and killed my car and call the clinic adam, seemed to think that either there is another sensor somewhere further in or the cel fix unit is faulty or something. the long and short of it is that i am booked in tomorrow and i will let you know how i get on. but go for the full decat, its amazing, totally different car. Giles P.s i am not a mechanic, so those who are or think they might be, please do not pick the above to pieces, it is intended as a usefull guide to the chap who started the thread. Or as this is not scoobynet, is this caveat unnecessary (sorry, just been doing a bit of posting on scoobynet and as usual, like buzzards they cirlce waiting for prey that dont use the correct terminology or post view different to thiers.)
  13. MEGA noticable performance sound etc
