I've been down this road before with cumbernauld town center, you simply ask the hotel to supply details of their public liability insurance it's and offence for them to refuse to supply the details. My original post was http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89667&hl= In the end there insurance paid out over £800 but it did take about 10months as they keep messing about. Best of luck mate.

Andy way of doing it is the right way, maplins should sell these also. it needs to be a regulated one as the car voltage goes up and down 9v on cranking the engine to 14v when running and charging the battery. .

I hope it's just the fluid also, but I did some checking on the red stuff pads and found this on there own website, so I think I will be changing the pads also. "Product: Yellowstuff - 4000 "R" Series - Full Race Pad Star Rating: Review By: Paul Steen Comment Subject: Performance Vehicle: Impreza P1.RE Purchase Location: Obtained from EBC Technical Support Comments: Hi Bob & Bart! I recently contacted you regarding the Redstuff Pads on my Impreza P1. Regarding my phone conversation with you last week I installed the Yellowstuff Pads you kindly replaced and what a difference they make! It's like a new car just out of the show room. The pads would put you out the windscreen, just what I wanted and I'd forgot the car had ABS, as the Redstuff Pads wouldn't lock the wheels in order for ABS to engage. Just goes to show you that the car shops selling these don't know what pad is for what car... I'm elated and thanks again! PS. Pity I've been using Redstuff for about 3 years and I was blaming Subaru's poor braking system... Sorry Subaru!" So yellow stuff or mintex extreme will be going on also. anyone used these, if so what do you think of them. http://www.ebcbrakes.com/bluestuffinfo.html

I've posted it in the technical section. Major brake fade after 2 or 3 heavy use on back roads (private back roads). http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=130493 Hope someone can help. Ed.

now I like a bargain, and these are really a cheap bargain. Umbro, brabham sprint/driving trainers. okay they maybe a dark red/brown sort of colour, but at only £6.00 a pair, yep you read right, £6.00 I can live with the colour. very comfy for driving in, must be worth it for track days ect. Be quick I don't expect them to last at that price. Ed.

Even if you have done a full format type upgrade it may be possible to recovery you documents/pictures/music ect. it's not a quick process (but it is quicker than recovery from a damaged drive). To protect any data thats left on your hard drive on your laptop you have to do 3 things NOW. 1. clone the hard drive to an external hard drive (using a bootable data recovery disc) 2. do not install anymore software on the laptop as it may overwrite data. 3. don't dowload any software, emails, windows updates ect as again it has to store this to your hard drive. Oh a 4th thing. Don't PANIC.. it could be worse. if you get really stuck and the information is very very important I could help you out. Regards Ed.

I had the same problem with the new wagon, outside handle would not work or would the central locking. This is how I got it working again. From the back doors drop the rear seat back, you should see a small plastic cover just above the lock. Pop this cover off, you will see a lever inside, just move it across towards the left (as you look at it) the handle should now work as normal. To stop it happening again, I stripped off the covers and cable tied the lever back. Hope that helps Ed.

The airbag light has come on as the front passenger seat has a pressure sensor in it, so the cars airbag system know if it has to deploy the passenger airbags during a crash. you will need to deactive the passenger warning system (not removing the bulb). see if there is a switch on the side of dash near the outside of the glovebox (when the door is open), there is normally a switch so you can switch off the passenger airbag when using a baby seat in the front. Good diagram, but thats for FIA standards(fitting to a roll cage), in a road car without the roll cage it means that all scoobies with harness fitted to rear seat points ether front or rear seatbelt points are below the 90 Deg's and not allowed, I think we really need someone to point us in the right direction. When I did mine, I asked a MOT examiner to check it and as long as the harness are E approved and don't interfear with the orginal seatbelts - operation and mounting then they are fine. I did say to jw about the if the car rolls, with a harness and no roll cage you can't move out the way, but if your going fast enough to collapse the roof, moving out the way is the least of your problems. also newage scoobies (blob and hawk) have a reinforcement across the roof and down the b pillar (part of the safety cell and also frameless doors), don't know about the 08 models. Cal at the top, you can see to bolt holes, about half way from the seatbelt reel and the iso bar that's where mine where fitted to, reinforced with 6mm steel plates welded into the car.

Saw this on the mcrae gathering site and it all seems above board. I'm sure Imy or Grant will clarify. Ed

These where my old harness from the blue scooby which had a reinforced rear support. But when fitting them to john's, I fitted it them to the only point which is a center for the front seats, to move them john, just unbolt both sides and removed the rear seat base and refit them where the seatbeat attaches at the lower points (they will be offset and may not fit correctly then). Found this picture of how they where original fitted. Ed.
