Contacted Elephant to advise them that the old decals where getting removed and replaced with dayglow, Was informed that would add £47.11 to my policy as it counts as a bodywork modification, so I got them to add the front spoiler, the roof spoiler(on it's way a'la 2006 version) and replacement exhaust system not just back box. total addition was £52.00 inc the orginal £47 increase (crazy) so it's cheaper to declare everything at the one go even if it's not fitted yet. Ed.

if bump the insurance up by £50 for liverpool victoria, but I don't know about elephant as it was all declared at the start of the policy. Ed

Mines are getting redone in Dayglow, the ones at the moment were from signcreate also, you can find them on ebay with The guys name is Lawrence Austin and his email address was. Austinsignsuk@aol.com The break down of the kit was Subaru Kit: £49.99 Shadows: £15.00 Race Numbers: £15.00 Race Names/St Andrews Flag: £7.50 Postage and Packing £8.75 Total: £96.74 I then got an extra set of Race Numbers for the Roof so that was a extra £15.00 Hope you like them when you get them, remember to tell the insurance company. I got mines from ebay and fitted them myself, it was about £95 that included all the shadows ect. If you go for dayglow yellow ie the rally colours the prices takes a massive jump, even more if you get someone else to fit them. Ricey has a mate who does graphics. I'm about get mines taken off and replaced. Ed.

Yep I did it last night for fixing the pod to accept the digital display and today for wiring up the phono to rf mod and the power, I used a small dab adaptor that currys where selling off at £19.99 the digital display is only about 2mm short for the clock hole (thank god for hot glue guns). not really as hard as I would have thought.the hardest part was getting the guts to cut the back of the pod,as for the Defi gauges I will use A piller pods (I hope) Ed

I was talking about this on Sat, about replacing the digital clock with a DAB radio adaptor. sound reception is really good when not moving, but I will need to get a better antenna. connected it via a rf modulator as a stop gap, will get rewire direct to the aux ports in the boot when doing the boot build. So that another part of the project done. Ed.

Nice mate, what springs did you get to lower it. Ed

As anyone who has talked to me will know, I believe in being able to stop before I can go. Hence "Brakes have already been done, groved drilled discs front only, braided hoses, dot 5 fluid, mintex pads ect." but a good call anyway. Ed

It might take me a while to get all the stuff together and so far the car has did 8500 miles and not missed a beat, more that can be said for my cdti corsa it's 3 weeks on the road 1 week in the garage so far. I will weight up the pros and cons of the warranty it was a hard fight to get it so ?????? I'll see, 250 might just have to do me for the next 2 years 3 months and 25 days not that I'm counting.

Ricey, I believe the Cel light thing only effects bug eyes as they moved the lamba sensor, I don't want to go mad crazy with mod's. at the end of the day over 250bhp with just a panel filter and backbox is still good it's almost standard Sti without the cost, but the bug is there and starting to bite. This is what I'm looking at in order. Oil Pump - Thanks Chris Samco hoses Uprated Fuel Pump KN Typhoon Induction - for more tsssh tsssh on gearchange ------------------------------------ Decat 2 of the 3 so no mapping needed Knocklink Boost controller -------------------------------------- Remove last cat STi Intercooler and Spray Remap But during that get prodrive spring set and whiteline droplinks. Oh also had my laptop connected to the car lastnight using the OBD2 connector and some new digimoto software which shows things like MAF reading, O2 (lamba) and intake air temp all the info used to be in graphs now you can set it up as Gauges. Also allow error codes to be reset ect. If enough people would like codes read ect or just for peace of mind I could bring it to a meet and have your ecu read and reset if needed for a small donation to the RB fund raising. Ed.

Was going to leave the one in the downpipe in, to keep the emissions down and also to protect the lamba sensor as I heard sometimes the cel light comes on with the front cat removed. any advise peter. Ed.

I'm looking to only have a quick road car, with as wide a torque band as possible meaning loads of grunt for the b roads. At the moment the torque starts coming in at 3000 and hold till 6000 with a small dip at 4-5000 so don't really want to kill that band to much. Ed.

Time to let the experts give me some advise, this is what I'm thinking to do in stages. In what order should I do it, remember I have limited funds.. remove 2 of the 3 cats. APS induction kit or KN Kit. Sti intercooler and spray. Uprated fuel pump. Samco Hoses to smooth airflow. Do you think I would also need a remap. Please add any other mods but nothing to extreame. Ed. PS. Brakes have already been done, groved drilled discs front only, braided hoses, dot 5 fluid, mintex pads ect. Added to list so far. Boost controller Knocklink

Is anyone going to Falkirk tonight, I might go after the glasgow meet (and not go to helensburgh).

It depends on what they did you for, was it the typeface of the plate or the spacing. If your car is an import then different rules apply on spacing you are allowed a smaller plate. if it's not one of the approved typefaces then sorry your done. I had a JDM wagon with a small plate, it was smaller than a motorbike plate and it was legal. You should be able to look up the rules on, I found this one with a quick search as it's by the police for the police Hope you find a little loop hole.

I would not trust myself to detango your headlights. but it's easy to do. Plenty of instruction on here and Scoobynet. Thanks everyone for the comments, chrissy see if your dad needs the decal first. Ed.
