  1. Phil, STi out of the box, Appreciate that, OK. Note your spec/Prodrive Springs: ? Do they lower the ride height? and are they available from prodrive for 03 WRX as Dealer fit? Thanx, Peter.
  2. Wiggle, Just had my WRX03 ppp'd. Can honestly say it is worth it, but not ness the money? Can't see how it can be better than an ppp'd/STi. Tourque and Ps are so different, appreciating the difference in rpm/tourque/Ps, range, if you get what I mean?, stats available? Havent noticed increase in fuel consumption, but you feel more response and it sounds a lot better so theres a tendency to want to hear it and push it on a bit harder. So.... probably. Though still bieng a bit tender with mine at the mo. Also get the nice rich Dug a Dug flat four sound back with the ppp'd STi, still a bit muted on WRX. IMO. So have started looking around for whats next already. But will wait till i've done a few more miles yet. Now if I can only get the Scoobs to go round corners i'll be well happy. Have fun. Peter.

  4. True enough. The 03 WRX is also cheaper and you get fogs. Dont think mine will be? 5dr arriving.

Hope this helps? out of the box - PPP. 03 STi max output ps@rpm 265@6000 max tourque Nm@rpm 343@4000 Out of the box 03 WRX - PPP. max output ps@rpm 225@5600 max tourque Nm@rpm 300@4000 PPP on standard WRX will make gains to sti especially tourque may even match it? The STi with PPP is prob going to push close to P1 power Monster tourque. I'm no tech buff just pulled some stats from Subaru www and am only interested cos my 03 WRX +PPP turns up in Two weeks.   6. Very keen, Hot bed area for testing all sorts of tricks... Have even seen Card board police cars cars on M5 on the H/S humps just before M4-bridge junction once on my way home to folks one crimbo. The M4 section that runs through Cardif has more cameras and obs visuals than you can shake a stick at.
  7. Read somewhere in manual or on here, that when you change the battery in fob U have to re unite the remote with system for recognition? Which involves some strange procedure of leaving the door open blipping? shutting the door and re blipping... got so confused with mine with similar senareo. that once I got the thing running drove to dealer and said sort this puppy out. There, possibly no help at all... hope you sort it. P.

  11. C.S. I get the picture. M.T. think it was your atcl? in TG that started me down the S/W route... Dealers lobbing in sti i/c intake, waist spoiler and a few other bells and whistles. PPP allready budgeted in. So I have to make my mind up soon to hold prices on 2 trade ins and still come out with some cash. ta, Peter.

  14. Don't soot me.... but. Am thinking of trading in for an 03 WRX 5door? as times is a tad tight at the mo, and am currently running 2 vehicles to do two different jobs? Thought the WRX S/W would give me the best of both worlds, performance and load space. Test drove an 03 WRX 5door last night for about an hour or so. Ok soaked up the S***e roads I drive on with ease, awesome headlight power, P/steering a tad too sensitive for my immediate liking, and seat position a tad higher than i'm use to. But overall good turn of speed and drivability. But to my horror... turn the key and nothing, not even the slightest hint of flat 4 burble! My Question is, as the dealer could offer me no reassurance, in fact simply looked at me rather oddly when raised the Q of flat 4 signiture. Does the PPP give this back as well as increasing the bhp from 225 to @ 260. or not...? hoping some 03 WRX fellows can give me an answer. Cos my love of unique sound when you first fire up is the best thing to start the day, the rumble to work, and the capping end to any day. Sorry for the waffle, lemeno. cheers, Peter.

  16. Hi all, Well the nights are drawing in fast, and my rods & cones arn't getting any younger. Any advice on upgrading headlight bulbs would be appreciated, as there is a plethera of variants on the aftermarket. Would be interested on whos put in what? appols if this is an old topic.   17. Not that this helps, Had a PE cone induction kit fitted on my P1 when it was still an infant. Can't fault PE work etc... however scoobs sounded pants and it was off in a week. But thats personal preference for you! Lot of money if you dont like it. have fun Peter.
  18. Phil Hi, I get no discount from dealer, Adams Group in Aylesbury, they are also a Mitsubishi dealer. But they are a bigish chain pop and do Pugs elsewhere Dihatsu etc etc. I think the only other Scoob dealer round me is in M Keynes and i think they are Adams Group also? you could have a go at them for Discounting? I know this is in the wrong hole; Suggestion? Warranty any chance SIDC could set there own up. Ok it needs to get underwritten etc etc. But I've just extended mine for another 24 months for @£400. Got to be a revenue generator in there? take it out with SIDC get a tad of a discount??? Good stuff/mag/site...Thanks, Peter.
  19. Noggy Hi, Got my geometry set up done @ TSL and droplinks at the same time. Good professional service... droplinks make the arse end squat well on the bendy bits but as for full geom' set up havent noticed much at all... must be doing sommet though. Just gone through a set of fronts, outside 3/4 within 6k miles! So i'm not over chuffed. Same prob round me as yourself and Argonaut/ Herts/Bucks borders. Unless someone tells me otherwise No tuners at all, well none that i'd trust with my Scoobs. Take your money dealers and not many of those. Every one else is miles away... and before someone says Prodrive... well just dont!
  20. Hi, I am currently running a power engineering Twin dump down pipe/TSL centre section with the P1 scorpion back box, which I hope to swap out with a TSL 4" GN back box. To date V happy with Performance gains but the Scorp' is restricting the flow, so at mo totally decated my P1. took it to a v frendly MOT station and it flew through am Emms test and they only charged me a tenner... i was just curious not due a MOT yet. The TSL open down pipe is virtually the same as the scooby sport downpipe which I ran on mine before the PE. The TSL version is well finished compared to the SSrt, I swapped mine out cos it brightened the signiture note, but was still running the standard resinator centre section then. Regards ECU as youve allready used TSL I'd talk to them rather than running around to various tuners at least that way you'll have some history should something go wrong with you mods as in the past it has cost me dear to trace faults/diognose probs taking motors to various tuners who first have to workout whats been done. Have fun.
  21. Audi A3Tsport, full OE body kit, AMD tweeked. Exceptional build quality, quiet as a whisper despite twin Remus monster system. Looked fab, drove well but big feel. looked forward to the two hour drivers rest chimes. sold it to my Dad whos as happy as a pig in ...
  22. Try a cellulose paint or a plastic lacquer after spraying car paint... cos now they are water based Enviro friendly so they chip like hell on plastic due to plastic temp retention.
