Hi there It's been a while since I've been on here, apologies for that, but I was hoping for a bit of advice. I want to get back into a Subaru, and need an estate for lugging stuff around and need to make a choice between the Impreza estate and a Forester. Now I understand the Forester isn't as powerful (we're talking unmodified cars here) but it does have more load space. I'm looking to buy around MY'00 and there isn't a great deal of difference in price or insurance, so thats not an issue (for some reason my insurer doesn't need a Tracker on the Forester!). My concern is the engine issues with the Impreza. I've read a lot of stories of piston slap, big end wear and engine rebuilds on Impreza's of varying age and mileage. Is this a problem on the Forester as well? I haven't driven a Forester yet, but am presuming it has acceptable levels of go and grip. Does anyone have any comments or that may help me decide.

Hi All. I will shortly need a 40,000 sevice doing. Can anyone recommend either Bulldog in Reading or Concours in Haslemere. Got any good or bad stories about either of them? I don't really want to use a certain garage in Botley, heard far too many bad stories about them!! Cheers Noggy

Hi all Has anyone changed their own springs on a bugeye 4 door? I was wondering how you get to the top of the rear struts, is it from inside the passenger compartment having taken the rear seat back out? If so, how do you get the seat back out, I cant find what holds it in!

Hi all I want to improve the handling of my car(MY01 UK300.......if you haven't already guessed!!!). At moment it is standard. Can anyone recommend what they have had done to their cars? I was thinking initially of springs (is there a difference between Prodrive and Eibach springs?) first choice probably being Eibach aftermarket items. Also what about Whiteline replacement anti-roll bars, anyone used these? Cheers.

Can anyone recommend a company that can check and optimise suspension geometry in Hants/Berks/Wilts. I have heard good stories about TSL but they're a bit too far away I think. Cheers!
