Well, just one more month of Scoob ownership and it's not going to be a nice one. my car goes back to the lease company at the end of march and the sods want a full engineers report before they'll accept it back, plus i've got to pay for any repairs or work due, and they are also trying to sting me for a bunch of "return charges" charges which equal about £1400! i hate lease companies. they really dont want the car back, they really want me to pay an extortionate fee so i will "own" it, and take it off their hands! they are even getting all legal on me now, so i've had to hand the matter over to my solicitors! word of advice kids, never deal with lease companies! i was sad to see the scoob go, but now........well, glad to see the back of it, which is sad to say.

On a good day i'll get just over 300 miles out of a tankfull. On a bad day, around 250. did southampton to Essex and back, plus arsing around the next day, and got 325 for some reason! changing my ECU from an AE802 to an AE801 strangely made alot of difference!

Yep, all is well, and it could have been much worse. I'm actually laughing about it now, especially due to the amount of jokes being directed my way at work. still can't find a headlamp though! at the moment, it's "modified by selotape!" cheers guys and gals, it's been emotional.

Just spent my lunchtime fishing deer brains out of the front of the car. the grille is the latest victim too....mountings are stuffed. i hate deer......

It shouldn't cost me too much to get it sorted out, looking at it this morning shows that it's not too bad. the worst part is the cracked bumper, but a mate of mine who owns a bodyshop said he'd sort it for free for me as well as bond the splitter back on. the headlight is another subject, rare as rocking-horse poop secondhand (crystal MY00 model), and i'd rather not pay Subaru £170 for a new one! happy days.......... Am reliably informed that i should have a freezer full of Venison very soon........

Driving home from Portsmouth last night, along a long, straight country road, a damned deer jumped out in front of me and smash.......... Tried braking from 50mph, and swerved out of the way, but it was promptly terminated by the N/S/F of the car, writing off a headlight, indicator, driving light surround, cracked bumper, de-bonding my front spitter, leaving a dent in the bonnet after it's head bounced off it, and half the contents of it's head all over my windsceen. Could have been worse, two feet to the right and the radiator would have bought it, or worse. but i do have some very nice venison steaks going! Oh happy days..........

every year me and the doris go to St Lucia in the Carribbean all-inclusive, we both take about £200 each for emergencies, presents etc and still come home with most of it. It all depends on what the hotel is like and what sort of facilities are included. i do alot of scuba diving and that's usually extra, but some places include it. you pays yer money and takes yer choice!

Definately the headlights, so i upgraded to P1 HID driving lights. Made all the difference! Easily dentable bodywork and paint isn't a good thing. Oh, and the radio aerial......was that really the best place for it that Subaru could find? i could mention Subaru parts prices.......but i won't. Everything else is cool though. Generally, i'm a very happy bunny with mine. Best car i've owned to date.

Right, tomorrow i'm replacing my AE802 ECU with a newly aquired AE801 ECU, as everyone keeps telling me how pants the AE802 is. Apart from obviously disconnecting the battery prior to works commencing and reconnecting it after i've finished cursing and swearing from trying to fit it, is there anything else i need to do after i've plugged it in. I know theres an ECU resetting ritual / rain dance / pray to god / etc Do i need to do this, or just plug and play??? Lovely day, hope it's like this tomorrow.......

Aaaah, is much clearer now! thanks CSIOM. Not sure if i need it really (MY00).....although i suppose it wouldn't hurt. got to get my P1 wheels fitted first! cheers!

get a fart-blood...sorry, "fireblade" mate! can heavily reccomend the R-1 after it scared the hell out of me... bit of a licence burner though....
