About Steve Holmes

  1. My wife has had the 225 bhp roadster for a couple of years now and it is great fun without the lid! We've gone for the new Merc SLK 350 now and get it in the new year....down side is that my STI has to saty for another year
  2. Went to Powerstation today and had 4 wheel alignment done, tyres changed and anti lift kit fiited........wow what a difference!! Turn in is much sharper, car feels planted to the round under hard aceleration and as if its a new car again. Advice....get down to Powerstation, and oh year, pulling to right totally gone!!
  3. 11.30 session booked at Power Station in Cheltenham so fingers crossed and I might just have to add a few toys while I am there!!! Let's know whether the P1 survives the visit from the new potential parents!!! How can you do it MarK?!?!?!
  4. The tyre was mashed only through over heating and rather aggressive cornering. I have had the car up on the jack tonight and checked for play in the wheel, both laterally and through turning, all seems tight and in order. I think thisis one for the dealer under warranty!
  5. Could be all the above I suppose, new struts, new tyres I think a call to the dealer in the morningthen maybe a re alignment over the weekend.
  6. Tyres match although new left has more tread than right as you might expect. The balancing seems fine but the tracking / alignment may have changed I suppose although I have not hit a kerb or anything that may have affected it! ?????
  7. Join the club skunk...well done! Get F!s is my advice and prodrive lowered springs plus ITG panel filter. Leave the rest as this gives me 304 BHP!!!
  8. I have just noticed that when I accelerate hard at say over 60 mph the car pulls quite hard to the right. I have checked tyre pressures and whilst they were not equal it doesn't seem to change it after correcting. I am meant to be doing a track day this Saturday but I am nervous that something is not as it should be. The only other thoughts I have are that I changed the front left tyre recently (Goodyear F1) as I mashed it recently on track and secondly that I have had a new rear right strut fitted due to some knocking. Does anyone have a clue or advice please? Steve
  9. Yeah, using standard 330mm ones. Mine a not too good nw so might have to change out but will firts try to get replacements on warranty!!!!
  10. Chris Let me know how you get on because I had the Ceramic Reds from EBC at the Goodwwod Summer Blast and they over heated and failed on me. I have just gone for DS2500s for the track and standard brembo pads for day use.
  11. I am sure you will get sorted. Are you going to Castle Combe?
