Hey bud, welcome to the club. On the subject of the noise, yes it is your n/s rear strut. So commonplace on newage's that subaru replace both them now if the vehicle is under m'fcturer warranty. How old is your motor? Did you get it from dealer? if so take it back and get them replaced. If you need any further help just shout[] Russ
