  1. That will be good, time soons goes past. Yes it was dirty, I found a 5mm blob of dirt on the bonnet, nearly had a fit, lol.
  2. Soooo, Chris and I have been discussing this and the venue is our hiccup at the moment. We need somewhere in the Midlands (preferably), with a motorway close by, lots of parking space, has toilets and food facilities or be able to get them for us, hopefully has somewhere to blat and splat on, will not charge (or at least be a nominal cost) as we are trying to raise money for charity. We are hoping to talk to IM (Subaru) and Pro R this coming week. If anyone has any genuine leads for this please let us know. We are now putting this back to 2014 as we have run out of time to get everything organised this year.
  3. Hello mate, I modified the cleanliness of mine lol How are you doing? Anything you need out there that we can send to you?
  4. Anyone fancy a mid week meet at the route 303 diner earlyish in April?
  5. Get an Optimate if you can, excellent charger/conditioner. Used them for years on the bikes and cars.
  6. Could do if battery in poor condition
  7. |Yep, quite expensive though. Good food Only a couple of miles from me
  8. welcome and good luck, as above, the fuel is gonna cost you so just stay at home and donate the fuel money, lol.
  9. it is not just a few wires that need to be changed but the canbus connections etc etc
  10. The thing is the car has an ecu fitted to go with all the bits fitted. If you start to change bits then you are changing the specification of the car. I was an Avionics engineer for 34 years and quite frankly I would not want to take on this job as I just would not know which bits should go where
  11. Best bet is to check with your mapper and see if he can help. Even starting the engine with it all wrong could blow it all. Good luck.
  12. Did overtake an Evo on the way home before Newton Abbot, then there was that beemer TW4 T something or other - see a hazard and accelerate into it so that someone else has to brake hard, lol, then get stuck between two other scoobs hehehe
  13. Welcome to Subaru INTERNATIONAL Drivers Club
  14. Well, 20 cars turned up on a dry but cool day. Thanks to all who made it today and sorry that some could not with the problems they had. I reckon the Hook and Parrot must have had a near heart attack when 50 sat down to eat
  15. Hello mate, welcome to SIDC - time to get those pictures up
  16. It would not need canbus though as I was just trying to suggest electrical motor rather than hydraulic. It could be simple switch on/off, speed sensitive or even variable by speed. Anyway, go for it
  17. Have you considered a pure electronic/electrical solution? If you are using logic circuits you may be able to piggy back off the canbus directly in the boot and use servomotors to provide the drive - no nasty fluids and probable weight saving. Cost may be less too.
