  1. Modified Live shows are held at regional race circuit venues taking place around the UK which are run to gather and celebrate all things with 4 wheels. Designed entirely to breath new life into the aftermarket modifying scenes and to give a welcome home to the guys and girls that share the same underlying passion to stand out and be different. Modified Live is a living breathing show that tours the country and brings the circus to the doorstep of people in their own areas on a grand scale. We bring together the entire Modifying culture to venues which can provide fantastic track action, club areas, secure parking, trade and attractions and interactive competitions - all designed to stimulate you and the scene to play host to the inspirational machines that make-up the jumbled up basket of all those people who find the 'norm' unacceptable, if its standard, pull it apart and modify it, thats the rule we all live and die by, if you are into that, you will fit right in at Modified Live. Click here to access the discussion thread 45 places are allocated for this session. Tickets are available in the club shop - https://forums.sidc.co.uk/store/product/32-knockhill-track-session/ SIDC returns to Knockhill on Saturday 30th March 2019 as part of their regular weekend track events at the iconic Scottish race track. This 1st event of the year will run from 9am to 1pm. The event will run on an open pit lane format, meaning you can join the track at any time you wish for as long as you wish. SIDC enforce a strict driving etiquette on track, to ensure that it is a safe and enjoyable place to drive your pride and joy at all times. Aggressive and inconsiderate driving will not be tolerated. Driver attitude and behaviour on track is much more important than the make and model of car you drive. Also included is free instruction from a resident Knockhill instructor, who will go out as a passenger (or driver if you prefer) and give you expert guidance on improving your driving around the track. Both first timers and regular track drivers can benefit tremendously from expert instruction. The event is open to drivers of all makes and models of car, but note that the vast majority of cars on track are very well maintained and driven high performance models. There is no charge for additional drivers, and passengers (front seat only). The event is open to both SIDC members and non-members. Please supply full details of your car when booking (make/model/registration number & colour). Drivers should arrive at the circuit no later than 8:15am for registration and mandatory drivers briefing. A full information pack will be emailed to all drivers 2 or 3 days before the event. Please ensure you have read and understood the Track Day cancellation policy

  7. It is amazing the difference you feel in the passenger seat. As the driver you know it will stick round the bend but when you’re the passenger it feels like you’re heading for the ditch. I guess you get the extra feedback from the steering to feel what’s really going on. Always good to keep your passengers on edge ?
  8. !!! DATE CHANGE !!! Due to the clash with Japfest, JDM Combe will now be on the 1st June.

NEW FOR 2019: LEGENDS STAGE We’ve created a new stage for the Rallyday Legends, with the plan being to put legendary drivers and cars on a slightly different, more challenging stage in front of the fans for an hour in the middle of the day. The Rallyday Legend stage incorporates sections of the track (and paddock) not used by rally cars since Castle Combe’s last appearance on the RAC Rally itinerary in 1983, the first year of the Group B category. 10. Set to be sold in Japan as the WRX STI TC 380, and limited to a run of 50, the machine features a range of special components which set it apart from regular models. Based on Japan's 2.0-litre Subaru WRX STI, the new model benefits from a new turbo, exhaust and catalytic converter sourced through Japanese aftermarket firm HKS, along with a new intake and strut brace developed by former rally driver Toshihiro Arai. Other elements include a carbon lip spoiler and special Recaro seats. The "TC 380" badge could be a reference to the car's engine output, which may be 380 horsepower, or 283kW (well up on the standard Japanese car's 227kW peak). Could this be the last of the petrol WRX STI’s before the hybrid versions are released? https://www.caradvice.com.au/699864/subaru-wrx-sti-tc380/
  11. Not your usual Subaru item ? I was going to ask how you knew but.........
  12. When you get home to a parcel with a big Subaru sticker ???
  13. I might be able to if I didn’t keep buying stupid things I don’t need ?
  14. Does it do it more when you are reversing while on lock? Mine does it, it’s like it’s crabbing a little. Something to do with the diff. It has never caused any issues and I have always considered it a feature ? Someone with far more tech knowledge will no doubt give you a better explanation shortly.
  15. Oooh I wasn’t looking for any but I think there is space in the cupboard for some more goodies ?
  16. I wonder how many laps you’ve done in that time and how many overtakes ?
