  2. The forums have been updated and a few new features have been introduced. Most of them are under the hood or admin type features but one that you didn't know you needed until you needed it is the mighty GIPHY!!! Enjoy.
  3. I certainly won’t be buying a new car anymore. Guess I will have to rebuild the one I have ?
  4. European Transport Safety Council proposals gain approval from MEPs; mandatory limiters likely within three years All new cars sold in the EU are set to be fitted with mandatory speed limiters within three years, after a key group of MEPs approved the fitment of a wide range of safety measures for new cars. The limiters – dubbed Intelligent Speed Assistance, or ISA – use traffic-sign-recognition cameras and/or GPS data to determine the maximum permitted speed in a particular area, automatically limiting engine power and a vehicle’s speed to the prevailing limit. 5. Hi and welcome to SIDC. As a member you can upload into the club gallery are. It would be good to see some pics of your Bugs ? I hope you find the forum helpful and hope to see you soon at one of our events/meets. Floz.
  6. Anyone else see the ASDA advert about them selling Bridgestone tyres? I wonder what aisle there on? ?
  7. Hi Kyle and welcome. All the above advice is good. ? I would only add that if you are looking for a WRX I would be looking for an unmodified one. There are many WRX's out there that have had bits bolted on to give them STI levels of power on the WRX internals. Looks good for 10 minutes but often costs more later on. If you are wanting a little bit more power then look for an STI instead.
  8. Just what every engine build needs ? https://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/store/product/793-rcm-clear-timing-belt-cover-kit-1999-2007
  9. Club pass tickets are now live in the shop. This is going to be a great first show of the season and Cadwell Park always has great track action.
  10. I believe @Robert Cowan was looking for one.
  11. I am currently speaking with Hiscox Specialist Insurance to get a discount for the club. It will interesting to see if they can reduce my premium.
  12. Alas I am now past the 40 mark ? and have 15 years no claims. I'm in Nottingham and my postcode says I am in the City boundary, if I moved 3 miles down the road the premium is 40% lower, its crazy. Its a good job I love the car so much.
  13. Wow, I pay nearly £1000 for just the Impreza ? but then I do live in the supposed gun capital of the UK ?
  14. Of course ?
  15. As soon as I have more info I post it here. This is something a little different and looks like it will be awesome.

  19. I used to agree wit the idea that it should be added to the fuel so the more miles you do the more you pay, it makes complete sense. What does complicate this in the current climate is that as more people go electric they wouldn't be buying the fuel so the government would need to fill that void with some other bonkers scheme.
  20. I cant say I have seen PFF7s on the newer models. Rota Grid style wheels seem to be popular.
  21. I can’t believe we’ve still had no snow here in the midlands. I was looking forward to some great pics of the scoob in the snow. Anyone been luckier? Got some scoob snow pics?
  22. I love the snow, as a Subaru owner you tend to be one of the only few on the road ? The problem I have found with the newer cars is everything is electric, traction control, stability control and alike, you simply don’t ‘feel’ what’s underneath you. The old scoob which sometimes gets uncomfortable gives great feel and feedback which makes it a joy to drive in the snow. I should really try it with winter tyres one day ?
