Lmfao I've gotta laugh spect, I'm sure that most other readers of this thread want the RaceRom re-map and Launch control now.
I'm very jealous but have no hope in hell of being able to afford that kind of mods yet. haha
Fair play
Ah well. but the mini meet sounds like a good idea, will PM you my number, maybe get any others who are interested one sunny day eh? I know the area very well as I grew up there and know that there is many pubs with good food and beer gardens on offer.
Keith
I remember when i was a lot younger there used to be Weston wheels in W-S-M on the sunday May bank Holiday.
Does it still happen?
When is it?
Have I missed it?
Can a gatecrasher from Cambridge join you lot if you go? (I will be in Taunton over Easter leave)
Many thanks, Keith
I have just fitted the afterburner centre de-resonator pipe to my 56-plate WRX and it makes a difference. Power wise I've noticed the turbo seems to spool up a bit quicker, not really a massive increase but enough to add a bigger smirk to my face. Also there's a bit more of a throaty/louder purr of an exhaust note.
My car is standard apart from a Pipercross panel filter and P1 backbox.
If your like me and can't afford a remap yet then I'd definately recommend replacing the centre resonator pipe to fill your needs
Keith
I'm a newbie to all this too and i can't answer that question as i don't wanna give the wrong advice. I don't have PPP but after reading somewhere its not the best option as i believe they only use a generic map instead of one specific to your car. Hope this helps
Good choice, I have a 56 wrx that i only bought 2 months ago, the bug has hit me already haha. What ever you decide to do make sure you read loads of articles in the forums, i found this the best way as it was super informative.
Welcome to the 'world'. You won't regret your purchase. Get yourself along to the monthly meet, I met a few other enthusiasts and they were all a great help. What are you getting?
Keith
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
I went to put on a centrepipe for my hawkeye wrx today and the bolts and conical gasket were shot, tried all the auto factors and they don't stock them. Subaru charge £61 for the 2 bolts/nuts/conical gasket and 2 springs that go inbetween the bolts!!! Is there anywhere near cambridge i can get these cheaper or is the main dealer the only option?
56 reg hawkeye wrx.
Keith
It was a decision between Green and Pipercross but as they both had a top review i went for the cheapest.
As for the remap, I'm going to wait a few months for that coz I still havn't got the need to go faster yet as the car is still way more powerful than anything I've owned before and its too easy to not enjoy the mods bit by bit haha. Will probably look at handling before more power as one of the lads from the local meets recommended the anti lift kit. Do you have them fitted and any brands to recommend?
Just thought I'd pass on my experiences onto a new impreza owner (as i am one myself).
I have recently just purchased and fitted a Pipercross Panel air filter and instantly reaping the benefits of at least an extra 40 miles per tank of fuel
Can't say the car feels any faster or louder in any way but it feels a lot smoother.
My car is a 56 plate hawkeye WRX, as far as i know its standard with a P1 backbox and forge dump valve. I use Shell V power.
Before i was getting 220 miles per tank doing 75ish on the motorway and a bit of town driving and now after fitment receiving 250 miles and still not in the red.
Purchased from ebay and it got delivered the next working day (ordered around 13:00)
Definately worth the £35ish spent. HAPPY DAYS!!!

Well I have been thinking of parting with the plate as the former keeper put it on there and i want a 56 plate back on there. I don't want to get anybodies hopes up but if the price is right then i'll chew ya arm off =]
Photo's are up on my profile, please feel free to take the mick out of the towbar and STi badges the former keeper put on as its a WRX haha. Happy viewing.
Will try my best, As you've probably heard lots of times before from new members it would be good to get help and advice from people with more knowledge than myself.
Many thanks in advance.
Hey there, I'm normally in Cambridge areas but am also around Somerset and Wiltshire quite often. Have had a look at the cambridge one and seen there is a meet on the 27th.
